Hi from Canada. I remember sleep. It was nice and relaxing. What I do now is more like passing out, but at least it is rest to regain my energy. I break up my sleep (using the term loosely) and go to bed at 1am to about 8am. then I sleep on the couch to support my back in the afternoon for a couple hours and sometimes more. Haaaa

Even with Ambien, I sleep very little...I am out so I think I slept about 3 hours last night.
I've had sleep studies done, they sho nuff can tell me what I do while sleeping, but they can't tell me why I don't sleep. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

When you're a little kid, they make you sleep, and you don't want to.
When you have kids, you want to sleep, and they won't let you. Then you get old, you want to sleep, nobody tries to stop you, but you can't. And there are people who think life is fair?

When I am well enough, I push myself to exhaustion and collapse.

I also cycle through hypersomnia - excessive sleeping. I'm in one of those cycles right now and sleeping as much as 16 hours a day. But, it is not refreshing, I'm just fatigued and weak. I wake up and intend to do something, but then wake up again 5 or 6 hours later. I'm hoping this is not the beginning of a new "exasperation." (One of my Cog Fog word mix-ups)

I need about 9-10 hours a night, and a cat nap during the day would help too. I get that much sleep on my days off generally, but on work nights I only get 6-7 hours. If I didn't work I know I'd be sleeping at least 9 hrs each night with a daily nap. I'm grateful that I can sleep, but wish I weren't so ruled by my fatigue.
The fatigue about kills me at work on the four days I'm there. On my days off, I take it easy during the day though I sleep a long time at night.

When I retire, I'm going to take a nap.
If I take a nap on the week-end, it messes me up for three days. Then I'm actually WORSE at work. I'm better off to try to hang on and get as much sleep at night as I can. I'm usually asleep by eight or so. Of course this means not having a life, but I'll do that when I retire, also. ![]()
