I like to wear borne. They are expensive, but well worth every penny. I was always told you have to take care of your feet because your entire body depends on them.

I wear Crocs. I wore them thru the winter even...unless it was raining or deep snow.

I do have to be careful with my Crocs. I noticed that if I walk on a certain type of flooring (tile or marble) I can trip in them easier. Probably because whoever is cleaning those types of floors uses too much cleanser on their floors. (floor cleaners used at full strength can feel sticky on a floor after the wet stuff dries)

I do want to get some new sneakers, because I noticed this year that I'm finding dead bugs in my Crocs (and a few live ones...found two ticks last week!)

I just need to find a place that sells shoes in my size. I wear size 9 1/2 in women's shoes, and for some reason, most shoe companies dont make a size 9 1/2, or they only make a few of them. So, I have to be incredibly lucky to find a shoe my size when I go shoe shopping.

Most of the time, I'll buy a pair of men's tennis shoes, since I can find shoes that will fit me in the men's shoes. I kind of like Converse sneakers. They last forever, and stay comfortable for a long time. My last pair of Converse lasted me about 3 or 4 years before the soles got holey. I can still wear those as long as it's not raining outside. (hate wet socks)

I'm going shoe shopping tomorrow. Hopefully I can find something that fits.

Thanks everyone.

I have some stuff coming from LL Bean soon, some slippers to wear around the house, and Croc-a-like slide sandals, and another pair of sandals that I used to wear but haven't for years!

I will check out the sandals at Wal-Mart maybe this weekend.

I always appreciate your replies.

Thanks again,

Costs more than you might think nowadays as cushions (foam) are made of petroleum product. Down id great but $$$, a cheaper and fairly decent alternative is a down/feather combo. All in all either option is cheaper than a new sofa.

As for shoes I stick to New Balance sneakers (do they still call them that). I swear by them or Avia. Dicks sporting goods sells a lot of them and they are frequesntly a loss leader (esp the cross trainers). I also am going to get a pair of those gel heel cups at WalMart which shoud help in dressier shoes or those long days in AFOs.

As for hands and fingers: I should own stock in the Oxo Good Grips line as my kitchen is full of thier suff. Best can opener and scissors I have ever used, not to mention the peeler, knives, dish brush.. Just go to http www.oxo.com just click on "Products" tab on top of page. They are carried in Bed, Bath and Beyone, Target, etc

I bought my parents an Oxo can opener for Xmas a few years back...first can opener we've had that didnt fall apart immediately and it's easy for everyone in my house to hold.
