The Dr..Gave me The long acting Tramadol.......Told him I tried it in other forms....So this AM being a man of my word took one.......

It gave me that lUmP in the throat feel....No pain relief....It made it a little tough to breath...Nothing to blow out of proportions...But this is definitely not the norm....

When I played hockey I got a stick to the throat...This is the best way to describe the sensation....Its 12 now I took the pill at 0800....And I'm still alive.....

Should I be skeptical and try it one more time to see if it happens again?

Nah...I don't think so....The wife will come home and have to peel 220 me off the floor......Aint no fake opiate going to do me in....I want something flashy...
I'm kidding of course.....Well no...When I go...I want it to be something exciting....To feel that rush before I go..Then I'll remember I was once alive..... ANY FIGHTER JET PILOTS OUT THERE?

Hi Pete!
Glad you came over to NT! Sorry not much has changed! I only get 30 a month I break them in half to try and make it last....but I too am low at the end of the month, and at times go a few days without. It minimizes the pain since I don't take the whole thing....it's a game to them...life for us. Hope to see more of you

Hugs
J

I've got painkillers coming out of my....well you get the point, they just don't work!! And the muscle relaxers I am on now (zanaflex) make me sleepy and then its like I am on crack up for 24 hours!

Glad you get to see your "colt" I agree the car rides do sucketh majoreth anymore, I know an 18 hour drive took me 3 days recently. And I am not a good passenger I have to drive! Make frequent stops to get out and stretch, that may help or if not let your wife drive and you drink LOL it's the 4th just tell people you are celebrating! (That was a joke, I know some may not get it)

Maybe if we start playing professional sports we can get all the meds we need...I know I've done so many roids Jose Canseco is threatening to write a book about me!

Keep trying pain clinics until you find one that has felt pain....it took me 9 years to get any relief! Good Luck!

I went to a new spine doctor a few months ago. He refuses to give pain meds. He said he has a bad back, has had surgery and all the metal in his back, and 'He dosn't need meds', therefore, no one else should have them either

I grudgeingly paid my $100 bill and never looked back.

That said: I still have my pain mgmt clinic....but like Pjames, I get the runaround. They tell me it's not as bad as I think. Yeah? Try living in my body. Fortunatly I'm having a good week so I can't complain too much right now.
