Sarah,

I'm so sorry you're having such pain! When I have pain from spasticity I take Baclofen but it's an everyday treatment for long term. I also take an antidepressant that helps with some pain. I haven't had to take a nerve pain medicine yet.

Maybe try some Advil or something like that to get you through until this passes?

Feel better soon Sweetie!

sarah

Have you talked to a physical therapist about different types of shoes or different ways of doing things at work to help with your wrists? Maybe your doc can refer you to one.

Pain is so difficult to deal with and I am sure that the heat and the environment where you work doesn't help.

Sarah - I am so sorry!! I also take Baclofen for the spasticity and I am not dx yet either (as you already know)

I know when I am really bad I take a shower..... it seems to help relax me. Just a suggestion.

Sarah, I'm having the same thing right now, too. It's mostly in my hands and wrists but it does hurt!! I take Baclofen, too, although it doesn't always work for me. If I take enough for it to cut the pain it makes me very drowsy. Guess if I'm asleep then the pain won't bother me, huh?! I'm sorry you're in pain and I hope it gets better soon!

Hi sarah.....sorry you are in such pain....pain stinks!!!

I think Jan had a great idea.....what about a rheumie???? They will rule
out the fibro diagnosis at least(well, if they think its not fibro) and Ive
heard they are pretty good and you would have another doc saying
this is neurological in origin.

And maybe they can help to figure it out too.

Good luck, I dont know how you are going to do this as I am on my butt
when I get pain like that.

It breaks my heart.......I deal with constant insane pain........I should count my blessings for not having to work.........

..Nothing really works for me.......For me The pain can be lessened a bit but NEVER taken away.........My pain issues are in different locations......

YESTERDAY i had a ok start for the morning...Then all of a sudden...I could not move the pain was so great.........Now this morning It still real bad....But I picked up a side order of a migraine to go..........

I would talk to you Doc...let him know....And let him understand this pain is effecting your life severely...........So much so...It is effecting you going to work and making a living to support you and yours.......
\
I'm so sorry for you...I am.....

if you dont mind i'll be praying for you..

thanks all,
sorry I didnt get back sooner...this didnt ever show up when I go to new posts....wierd...so all of a sudden tonight in my cogfog mind said..wait I thought I started a thread about pain...and had to find it..as it wasnt under new posts...hmmmm

I might have to go in before sept. apt... I will be very upfront to my pcp about the pain, and the numbness that was happening last week...(couldnt feel my legs below me feeling but also the tingling stuff)

and make sure she knows how much it affects my life....as I keep having to cut back on stuff at home to rest enough to try to get back to work....long struggle...

thanks all for the prayers..and support...this place rocks...

someone gave a neuro dr name to my hubby...someone at his work with MS...that he has talked to a lot about my sxs....and they were surprised nothing so far is figured out.....

I might get referral to see him...neuro number 4 it would be..hehe

the rheumy idea would be good...although back when my pcp said..the fibro idea wasnt right...and that she really thinks neurological...but hey maybe I should see a rheumy too....as someone here said....

Pjames...yes my life is busy....work full time days, hubby works nights....we have five children....so life is busy...just wish I could enjoy the home time better...and not always be trying to get better enough to not struggle at work....that part gets to me...

hugsss and thanks all, sarah
