I think it boils down to a Quality of Life issue. If they're making you feel rotten....then you have your answer. There will be other meds in the pipeline. Heck, we may have a vaccine in the next 2-3 years or so.

Even if you don't do an interferon there are lots of things you can do as others have mentioned. I'd also like to add in the Swank Diet. Dr Swank has 50 years of sound research behind him to show that diet really does slow progression. The best part is that the only side effect is better general health. No it's not easy at first, but eventually it's second nature and I really don't feel deprived. Just wanted to give you an idea if you were interested in something besides DMDs.
