Those spasms in the feet and calves are killers! I get them 2 to 3 times a week! I finally took AMN's advice and got a percussion massager and it has been a life saver! I massage my calf and thigh muscles to relax my toes and arches and my calf muscles. Sometimes it takes 20-30 minutes to get the calf muscles to release. Heat helps.

I take Sinemet and klonopin. Baclofen and Tizanidine did nothing for me but put me to sleep! Also the weekly deep tissue massage has helped me a lot, believe it or not!

When my hands cramp up, warming them helps. Not much else I can do.

I hope you don't get them too often. If you are going to be teaching dance, make sure you keep your muscles warm and your body well hydrated. That will help.

I agree with the heat FG - when my legs are bad I turn my electric blanket on and crawl into bed..... not to much heat but heat is good for me.

Thanks so much flygirl. I will remember that! I will be teaching now until June, only 2.5 hrs a week but still that was enough to set me off last week. I just hope that was a one time thing!

Hi Yeahbut! I am doing good! HH is doing great too! I love all the posts (he does too when I read them to him) And no he doesn't have a brother ladies. I might be willing to share.....

I taugh yesterday with very little cramping so I am hoping that was it. My legs are still weak and ache but I will take that over the cramping pain!!!!
