I've also posted this on the Autoimmune forum - since I don't know where it belongs .................
Can anyone relate to looking in the mirror to find that the skin above each eye has folded down over each eye lid and eyelashes. It looks like my eyebrows have dropped - although I can still raise them. They don't appear to be swollen - just suddenly lost all tone. Any suggestions? Thanks Merle |

Merle,
One of the folks that I see each morning at the coffee shop has the same issue. He told me that his neurologists seem to think that it is a loss of muscle tone and the neurological function associated with those muscles. -Vic |

I have it too, and agree with Vic that I've heard it can result from the neurological damage we have.
Even though the fix would be normally be considered "cosmetic surgery" (not free here in Canada), apparently people with some neurological conditions, like MS, can sometimes get it done as a "necessary" (paid for) procedure. This can actually cause a perception of fatigue, and perhaps even fatigue itself, especially if it is moderate to severe. It can apparently also interfere with our eye sight. Cherie

I'm grateful for your swift responses.
As this has evolved fairly swiftly, I'm hoping that this is an acute phase and there may be some scope for improvement without surgery - I'm doing the yogic lion pose as I type so as to hurry things along. Just hope that the wind doesn't change - the staring eyes are one thing, but the protruding tongue is another! ![]() Thanks again. ![]() Merle |
