That's absolutely horrible that a person would call or get a hold of other neurologists to discredit you like that! I hope you filed complaints to the appropriate officials in your state. It sounds like you went through the mill with a doctor who doesn't sound very balanced mentally.
All I'm saying is that we need to know there are good doctors out there, willing to help us, and will shun such doctors about which you speak. Thank heavens that is not the norm. I hope you were able to get some justice, and I'm glad you found one of the good ones.
I do think one thing that hasn't been mentioned can play into it as well, and it is which insurance a person has, and how much, and what it will cover. Which is a topic all on it's own.
So sorry you had to endure such a horrible experience, just horrible.
