I love to meet other readers. This excites me. Keep talking to your plants, they do feel. I am not sure what, but there is something going on there.
I read alot of physics, and over the course of the years, this unusual habbit has turned serious. I am understanding more now, than I ever did as a kid. Better late then never. If you have other reading interests let me know what they are. It is exciting to know, someone may be able to figure out at least what nationalatiy I am, that would be cool all by itself! Life sure throws some twists and turns in it, and some of them are good! Take care, ginnie ![]() |

I have started buying (and receiving) audiobooks because vision issues. I would be happy to pass along after i am done - is there a way to setup thread to post what i have, wuld be willing to pass on? I received bossy pants by tina fey and not my usual taste but very light, entertaining and nice change of pace from my normal legal, educational reading.

Many libraries lend out audio books, and you can download them from home, so you don't even have to leave the house. See if yours does!

So sorry about MG overruling your week-end plans, Annie. The only thing predictable about MG is its unpredictability. This is one of the factors of MG that I have difficulties with = especially when I am forced to miss an event or opportunity I had been looking forward to. ![]() Take care of yourself, Annie. ![]() p.s. An interesting book I just finished is: Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking by Malcolm Gladwell My opinion is that some of our over-thinking, over-analyzying physicians (mostly neuros) might benefit from reading this book. LOL - don't quote me though. I happen to be pretty "okay" with my current neuro's treatment plan and the professional and respectful manner in which I am treated. It's just a couple of those other guys who I have dealt with who might be receiving free copies anonymously from me. ![]() SoftTalker (Sue) |

I now have ALL the books in this thread sitting in front of me, looking fwd 2 reading them all
![]() ![]() ![]() The one I absolutely must start with first is this one: Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking by Malcolm Gladwell .............. ´But Gottman, it turns out, can teach us a great deal about a critical part of rapid cognition known as thin-slicing. "Thin-slicing" refers to the ability of our unconscious to find patterns in situations and behavior based on very narrow slices of experience´ A good friend also recommended another one which hasn´t arrived yet: http://www.amazon.com/Quiet-Power-In.../dp/0307352145 Anacrusis ![]() |

Yes keep on reading! Currently I just finished a whopper called "Partical At The End of The Universe" I have read physics for about 10 years, and this one went way deeper into all the particles, how they fit together, and just what the Higgs field and Higgs partical is. Very in depth reading and well over my head. I started "Cloud Atlas" last night. Interesting beginning.... the language is very different.
Have a good holiday, and let me know what you read. I won't live long enough to read all the books I want to! take care, ginnie ![]() |
