Hi...

I had a concussion 7 months ago. It's been pretty terrifying, but I am (hopefully) over the worst...

I am loving this forum. I was looking through the PCS section and saying... yep, that's me! and that... and that... and that... and that. So nice to feel a little bit "normal" in the midst of the craziness.

And... this forum has also been a reminder of how blessed I am in spite of it all.

Looking forward to exploring more!

Default Pleasure to meet you all :)

Hello, I am a wife and a mother of 2 in NE, Pennsylvania. I have recently been diagnosed with Arnold Chiari Malformation & Syringomyelia. I am 46 years old and was in a bad car accident when i was 17. I do not know what it came from. I have been for 2 MRI's, thorasic and cervical. I have 1 this week of the brain. I will see a neurosurgeon on May 27th and I am really scared.
Maybe it will be a relief to not have all of these symptoms after 29 years.
I have been told I had fibermyalgia, shingles, trigeminal neuralgia and suffer from nystagmus, strange palpatations, loss of feeling in legs and many other symptoms. It is nice to know there is such a wonderful group of people who share so much similar symptoms. I know now I am not alone.
Thank you to all,
ZeCorvus

Hello Zecorvus.... I'm going to copy your thread to it's own post so that more people can see it and be able to welcome you. I'd hate to see you get lost in this thread.

Here is the link to your own thread. http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...d.php?t=150608

Default Hello

Hello, I have just stumbled accross this site, and hope i can learn a bit more from it, as i have numerous health issues.

At this moment , I am having concerns regarding the B12 injections i am having.
I have had the injections for over 15 yrs, and now seem to have allergic reactions to it,( the last 2 injections especially ) ,which is worrying me a lot, as it seems to be Affecting my Angina. and I am getting really bad angina attacks ,dizzynesss.leg pain.muscle pain.tiredness/fatigue.to name but a few symptoms as soon as i get the jab!!!, which for years used to do the reverse, and make me feel much better...can anyone tell me why or lead me to a forum that maybe could have some answers,,my cardiologist has sugested i go back and see a hematologist, to sort out the B12 supliments..but when my GP wrote to them ( hematology dept) they said they didnt need to see me!!?..why?..I need help, this could be dangerous on my heart !!
Last week i had the B12 injection ( the second one thats gone bad) and my son is getting married next weekend,,Im so worried , I have already had one big angina attack this week, and daily chest pains,im concerned i will be ill for the wedding.
Has anyone heard of this problem?

Well, you need to get some blood work done.

Find out what your level is.

Oral products work just as well as the cyano in the injections.
Oral comes now in methylcobalamin, which is the activated form.
Some people cannot handle the cyanide in the old synthetic form used in the injections.

It is possible you have developed some cardiac problem? That
should be evaluated. It might be independent of your B12 issue.

Here is a B12 information thread with all the medical data on it.
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread85103.html

Oral can work as well as injections. But one has to take it on an empty stomach to work properly. Presence of food will absorb it and prevent it from getting into the blood.
