Hi Folks
As means of background, I fell at home last year - down a flight of stairs - and broke ten ribs, punctured my lung, cracked a vertebare, and tore my rotator cuff. I'm a healthy 44yo male. I was in intensive care for 3 weeks because of the lung, had the rotator cuff repaired in Januray 2011, but still have issues with the ribs. Seems two (5 & 6) are intruding in to my lung making even moderately deep breathing uncomfortable. I think I have a pretty high tolerance for pain, but I would like to have (I think) the ribs resectioned. I am curious if anyone has had a similar procedure and what your thoughts are regarding same. Thanks in advance! |
