Welcome to Neuro Talk. This is the place to be if you have questions on dental issues. On this site, Bryanna is the most knowledgeable as she was in the profession for 30+ years. I can help a bit too if you have some questions. This is where I learned the truth about some of the proceedures dentists do, that really don't work. Don't hesitate to talk to anyone here, and someone will help you. Again, welcome and fee at ease. ginnie

Thank you for your kind welcome, i,m currently in quite a lot of pain so I will elaborate further tommorow. It basically started about 3 and a half weeks ago when i went to local dentist. Broken tooth which already had cavity in, had it re-filled. Pain started had filling filed down , too high but it didn,t help.
Decided to go to endodontist, had root canal 1st part of proceedure done. Pain proceeded, didn,t know if allergic to temp filling(as I have many allergies). Anyway its been two weeks now and I,ve had numerous problems. Headaches jawpain, gums hurt, red and swollen, pain and cramp on left side of neck, shoulder and side. Doctor sending me for bloods. The tooth is on the left side a premolar i think its no 12. I have 1 other root canal which was done 16 years ago 2nd to front tooth no: 10 on same side and now this is begining to hurt. From what I,ve read it seems the best option is to get rid, but it scares me about the further problems with extraction. It is really interesting reading on this site and makes me wonder if my health problems which all seem to start after my first root canal all those years ago could be related. Sorry if I,m not very clear but I feel quite fuzzy and confused at the moment and tired with the pain. ![]() |

It is good that you are reading the posts regarding the RC. Sometimes it is wise just to have the RC teeth out. This is what I did. I have auto immune problems anyway, and I learned here that RC teeth never fully resolve. If you are having problems all this time, I bet you anything Bryanna, who is on this site would tell you to have them out. There are tiny places inside the RC teeth that can never fully be rid of the infection, no matter what the endo. tells you. They make alot of money off these proceedures, and don't always, in fact seldom tell a patient the truth. If you direct any question, do so to Bryanna about this and she can explain it further to you. I followed her advise and found a dentist who did agree. My problems ended when the teeth came out!!!! Bryanna has been in the field 30 years, and has been helping alot of us on NT. I would rather not have the teeth, than suffer as I had been doing. I sure hope that you get a solution fast, as I know how uncomfortable you are. I will be here, and I bet you will get Bryanna to reply, she is awsome. ginnie
