Default new here struggling w chiari and ddd

Hi all. I've been unable to work for five years now due to symptoms that docs can't tell me if it's BC of my chiari malformation or my cervical disc disease. SO frustrated! Two weeks ago things got way worse, after getting two cervical epidural injections. Now having trouble in my right arm which was fine until now. Saw my NS and he has no idea so he said I must have conversion disorder. I thought, OK, great if it's in my head (ironically, it is, my brain is crammed into my scull and pushing out into my spinal canal) I can see a psychiatrist in addition to my therapist and make all this suffering and helplessness go away.

Then I went home to research conversion disorder, the doc didn't really explain it to me, and that is not me AT ALL. I have a medically documented illness and I am not crazy. He just doesn't know what to do. So I'm firing him and traveling to the May field Chiari Center in Cincinnati. It feels like starting over, but I'm optimistic and hoping to get better.

I hope to talk to others here who have gone through some of the same things. Thanks for listening!
