I was just diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia. I have had pain for about 2 and a half months. This has been really difficult for me to accept. Does anyone out there have issues with anxiety, depression, and weight loss that goes along with this diagnosis? Thanks for any comments!

Yes of course!!! Being in constant pain has very strong physical and mental affects on your body. It is exhausting first of all. And it can cause strong anxiety for me. I also feel like I am always waiting for the pain to start again when it isn't there. And, all of that, certainly leads to depression

I don't have TN, but I'm no stranger to chronic pain, the vicious cycle, or the Kübler-Ross model as applied to chronic pain. Knowledge is power, and the key to power over chronic illness IMO is not only knowledge about the illness itself, but also knowledge about what to expect psychologically—understanding these things we all go through helps us to deal/cope.
