Default Not sure where to go next.

Hello all of you brave men and women, I first posted in the multiple sclerosis thread because I was showing possible signs, but I did get a head MRI and it came back clean. Now I'm posting here because I don't know where to go next ( I'll try to keep this as brief as possible ). I'm a 21 year old male, almost 22. Basically, I've been showing a lot of very strange symptoms for the last 3-4 months, even longer than that, but it was always brief for a short amount of time, but has gotten more serious.
In short, I'm experiencing symptoms like a feeling of pulling, mainly in the front of my neck like something is stuck in my throat, my head always feels like it has pressure ( but not a headaches ) Like the front of my forehead, neck, eyes, and jaw all feel like it has this pressure that causes my head to feel like it keeps moving, my body kind of jerks sometimes too ( mainly back or legs ). I also have a constant tingling in my forehead and top of nose. It's almost like being dizzy but very slight to where I can function and things are 90 percent stable. Certain days I get shooting pains in my shoulders, inside my ears, sides of head, feet, and sometimes arms. I also get the pains in the side of my stomach. It's like a knife stabs me and is very painful. My head never feels still, like it sometimes will slightly move because of that pressure feeling, but its really slight, but always stays straight. I also have constant ringing in my ears, and it keeps getting louder, like extremely loud, and times where all of a sudden my hearing drops, and I just hear loud ring, then it goes down and my hearing comes back.
I Have moments where I get really tired too. I also keep getting muscle twitching all over the place, lately in my arms, but also in thighs, back, legs and front of my neck, and it spazzes out like crazy. The latest symptom I have gotten 3 times now ( and this is not fun to talk about ) but I have times that after I urinate it starts burning and tingling, and feels like I have to still go for like an hour, and it slowly stops and goes away. It happened to me in class and was really uncomfortable. I also have moments where I start feeling weak and then slowly get better. Now, the reason I'm explaining all these signs is I was hoping you guys could direct based on these symptoms.
I went to a neurologist/physician, he had an MRI of my head, and said it was clean, and it doesn't seem like he's totally listening to me. He thinks it's anxiety and that I'm focusing on it too much. I can tell you right now, I thought it was too at first, but it really is not. I mean, these aren't normal symptoms, and they are VERY noticeable and effects me every single day. Should I get a second opinion? Is there a certain specialist I should see? Do my symptoms seem like something you might know about? Any help with this would be appreciated.
I also want to add, I had a couple of head injuries in the past, but my MRI was clean, so I think it clears that out, and about two months ago I fell down concrete stairs on my butt and back, but I was able to get up. I had some pain/discomfort for a few weeks, but it got better, and I was still able to stretch and didn't really feel much pain after the fall. Though these signs were starting to show like a month before my fall. I'm so confused, I have no idea what's going on and what I should do next. Like, I don't understand what could be happening to a young male like me. I also want to add, I have traveled to a lot of foreign countries such as Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, and Maryland ( I was in Maryland for a month ) in the last two years. I actually went to Maryland in the summer of 2012, and was hiking around in the woods weekly wearing shorts and non long sleeve shirts. Which makes me wonder if I should get tested for Lyme. There are more signs, but these are the main ones. I have had days too where I get bad migraines, but its like once every two weeks. I'm starting to wonder if this is an infection/bacteria of some sort.

- Sorry if that was a bit to read, but for those who read and respond, I seriously greatly appreciate it. This is messing up my life at the moment, and I just want to get better. I can hardly focus on school, I feel foggy all the time with annoying symptoms. I can say this a dark rode, but in a way I feel stronger about everything in life and am a lot more appreciative. If I come out of this, I will never complain about anything again. Good luck to all of you

Hi, there, Johnny....

I think you should visit, read, and post some on our TBI forum, for head injuries. Lots of good information there..and helpful posters:
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum92.html

And sometimes nutrient deficiencies sneak up on people. One of them is magnesium. When low in this mineral, there are many nerve and muscle symptoms. Here is a link to the magnesium thread on our Vitamin forum: Up to 70% of people in the US are not consuming the RDA in this mineral and therefore have health issues and troubling symptoms.
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread1138.html

You'll have to do some reading and homework here. I bet you are sick of homework, but that is how these forums run best.

Default Good morning from Georgia :)

I am so sorry for what you are going through at such a young age. I really appreciated your last few sentences......'more appreciative'.......having issues like we all have really does 'open our eyes' to see the world in a different light.

Not much I can contribute except that I think you do need to see another dr....what type ? I don't know but I'm sure there will be other posters to help you out with that.

Just wanted to Welcome you to NT and say please keep us posted. I'm 51 and just started my small fiber neuropathy journey........it is very hard to wrap your mind around the symptoms and I wish you much luck in your journey.

Hey there! Pain is a master of confusion but you are bright enough to defeat it. I was reading your symptoms and was interested to hear that you had a fall prior to all these ghastly pains. I wonder if you have damaged a disc or part of your spine which is affecting your nervous system. I have perpheral neuropathy post chemo. I had a fall which seemed to trigger the worst and now I see a physio and a chiropractor who do DNS (Deep nerve stimulation) on me. Some times specialists do not look at other possible causes leaving it to the patient to find out the best treatment. Extremely frustrating but you are here at Neurotalk and a very good place to begin. I have had blood tests for dormant viruses which could have triggered neuropathy but it is chemo related so bloods were clear; I did have B12 and B6 tests done and had 3 B12 shots as a result. I was also very low in vitamin D so am popping them too! I hope this gives you a bit of ammunition when you visit your GP who can organise bloods for you. Best wishes aggie

Thank you guys so much for the fast replies. I'm looking for doctors at the moment. This time I'm looking up reviews and stuff to make sure I can find the most open minded and knowledgeable doctor that I can.

- Had some new symptoms in a way today. As I was walking to class ( and this walk has always been easy for me ) it kind of felt like there were some small weights attached to my feat, and I noticed walking felt a little awkward towards the end. On top of that, I been getting the muscle twitches all over my legs today, mainly in both of my thighs. It's so strange too because these twitches never last more than 20 seconds at a time, but they occur often, was feeling all over my neck too. I also had a weird cramping feeling in my thighs today like I couldn't totally relax them, like they were slightly tense, but it never got out of hand. Just ten minutes ago too I was feeling a sharp stabbing pain in my right thigh, and it really hurt.

So confusing, I hope I find out what's going

I also have been feeling a crazy numbness feeling in my cheeks, chin and top of throat, and almost like pain in my teeth. It's really noticeable, like it feels a dentist injected me with that stuff that numbs your mouth. What is going on

Hi JohnnyAppleseed, do you have a family doctor? It sounds like you best see a GP - general practitioner straight away. In Australia (my home) we always have to see a GP first. That's so we can unload our bundle and then they refer us to a specialist eg neurologist, endocronologist, physiotherapist etc. As your tingling is up round your face and head, please go to a GP sooner than later. I am not sure how things work for you in your home but some folks also go direct to the hospital. This is not recommended as you could wait for hours. All the best champ! but don't put it off any longer. Cheers

I'm currently in a different state so I had to find a new one. I went to one doctor/neurologist, and he had me get an MRI of my head, which came out clean. Other than that, he was giving me no leads, was kind of mean, seemed like he wasn't listening, and was acting like it was all in my head, when it's not. So I dropped him, and I'm currently now looking for doctors that have really good reviews. I also got blood tests for huge variety of thing including magneisum, and it all came back fine. Like one of the other posters said, I find the stair fall I had suspicious, but I was experiencing signs months before the fall. About three weeks before the fall I was experiencing a lot of strange stuff, so I feel like it was just odd timing, and something else is going on. Because that fall really didn't hurt my back, and I was able to walk around fine and had no issues except some minor pain that went away in a few weeks. Confusing right
