Hello Anna,

I am looking for information on the symptoms of this disease. My wife has a family history of cadisil in which both her mom and brother died at around 40-45 years of age. My wife is now 40 and has started to show some negative behavioural signs. I would like to know more to see if this is cadasil or not.

Default Dear Annalisa

I want to welcome you to Neuro Talk. I am sorry for the trouble your family is experiencing with the condition you mentioned Carisal. There is a search bar at the top of the page, try typing in that illness, and see what thread pops up. I have not heard of this illness before. I googled it and didn't come up with this disorder. Is it called by another name? There may indeed be people on this site you can better direct you. You are welcome here. This is a compassionate group of people, and you can join in on any conversation. You might want to ask the moderators of the site if they have information on this illness. I do wish you and your family all the best. I hope there can be a solution and way to move forward. ginnie

Default Cadisal

Hello,
I have just joined due to the fact my husband was just diagnosed with Cadisal.
We are investigating the genetic testing to prove that it is CAdisal. My husbands mother died at the age of 52 from what they thought was Alzheimer's, but perhpas not.
Any comments about the genetic testing would be appreciated.

Default Hello dlpoole

We are glad to have you at NT. You are welcome to join in on any conversation on any of the boards. With information, there is a search bar up at the top of the page. type in Genetic testing, I am not sure what will come up. don't hesitate to google up genetic testing. Most teaching institutes have research facilities that deal with this. One is the Universiy of Columbia Medical Center, in Colummbia Mo. Many more are all over the country. I hope others will respond to you and give you more information on how to get some help. Welcome again, there are some very kind folks in this site. ginnie
