Hello My name is Anna and I am 61. I have four children. My eldest 37 and my youngest showed white spots in their MIR. My youngest 30, has had many mingrains. He has now had a blood check and found to have CADISAL. I have had many mingrains and my mother had many strokes before she passed away. I live in Adelaide Australia. I am looking for information on the symptoms of this disease. My wife has a family history of cadisil in which both her mom and brother died at around 40-45 years of age. My wife is now 40 and has started to show some negative behavioural signs. I would like to know more to see if this is cadasil or not.

I have just joined due to the fact my husband was just diagnosed with Cadisal.
We are investigating the genetic testing to prove that it is CAdisal. My husbands mother died at the age of 52 from what they thought was Alzheimer's, but perhpas not.
Any comments about the genetic testing would be appreciated.

Most teaching institutes have research facilities that deal with this. One is the Universiy of Columbia Medical Center, in Colummbia Mo. Many more are all over the country.
