Anyway, it usually costs around $2 for a 16oz bottle. I was able to talk the distributor into selling it to me by the case so that I would have a good supply.
I seem to get the best result when I drink it on an empty stomach with my meds. I drink at least two bottles a day. I have been able to cut my dose of carbi/levo down from 1.5 pills per dose to 1 pill. It has almost eliminated my dyskinesia and the nasty foot cramp I was getting every single morning.
I don't seem to tolerate coffee well anymore. It causes me to shake even more. However, when I have a particularly long work day to contend with, I have found that if I add 1/2 of one of those little 5 hour energy drinks to my bottle of aloe juice and sip it over an hour's time, it really works well without nasty side effects.
The other thing that is important to me is my weight. I was losing a noticeable amount of weight... 30 pounds in about a 4 month period and that wasn't healthy. I was having a lot of nausea and some days I just didn't want to eat at all. The aloe has fixed that. No more nausea.
I certainly don't view aloe as a cure but, for me it fixes alot of those little nasty symptoms of PD that make life miserable.
It is good to hear that you are getting good benefits from aloe..As I mentioned, for 3 days, my meds were working as smooth as silk, and I have no doubt, that it was because of the aloe juice, but then I had a real bad day..
So, everytime I try something new, and I have a "bad" reaction from it..(real or imagined)..I get shell shocked

Seems every time I veer off from my daily regimen, I have some sort of a negative reaction..I have been trying to squeeze 2-3 more hours of ontime out of my day, and nothing seems to work without consequensces..I tried taking four 200 mg Stalevos per day instead of three, and I end up with 2-3 hours of dyskinesia, instead of 2-3 hours of ontime..The last time I took 4 Stalevos, I had dyskinesia so bad, I thought I was going to break the chair I was sitting in..Three Stalevos work great, and give me about 11 hours of ontime..Cant take regular Sinemet, cuz it gives me dyskinesia and nasty muscle cramps in my right leg, untill it wears off

I keep looking for the magic bullet, but it is very elusive

Default Does is boost sinemet or works independently?

I'm curious to know from those that have tried it and had success whether you notice a boost independent of sinemet intake? In other words, is its effect make Sinemet work better and allow you to reduce the dosage/extend effective period or are the benefits there even without taking Sinemet?

Also, does it seem to help with the on/off effect?

Thanks in advance for your insight!

I have been able to cut my Sinemet down from 1.5 tablets of 25-100 every 3.5 hours to 1 tablet every 3.5 hours. I haven't noticed that it prolongs the medicine's effect or softens the curve from on to off. It does work better on an empty stomach. As soon as I eat a meal, the aloe effect diminishes. One other thing that I have been doing as well is a weekly B12 shot. The aloe increases my energy and the B12 seems to sustain it. The only other thing I take is one Mirapex ER 1.5 every morning. Before the aloe, I used to wake up every 3 hours or so at night and have to take Sinemet so that I was pretty much having to take it round the clock. Now I either sleep through the night or, if I wake up, I can go back to sleep and do not have to take a Sinemet. I would have to say that the aloe does not have an independent effect but rather seems to embellish the effect of the Sinemet.

i drink at least 12oz of aloe juice a day. I rather like the kind with chunks in it. It absolutely seems to help smooth out the on to off transition plus that nice side virtue of promoting regularity which for some of us is a problem. I also use aloe topically, laced with cannabis and some other botanicals which does wonders when rubbed into stiff joints and sore muscles.

I just signed up on here only to reply to your original message madam ... That Jayone aloe drink you been drinking? I'm drinking it right now as we speak at my office. -- I notice you're in Southern California... I am in Walnut/West Covina.... if you want to get a ton of these JAYONE drinks go to a Korean supermarket ... and just look in the aisle where juices are -- they always have some aloe vera drinks sold.

The Jayone brands are everywhere ... go to Hannam or even 99 ranch -- I buy it there also.

The Hannam supermarket I bought in Diamond Bar sells 1.5 liter Jayone drinks for $1.89!
NO JOKE!

The small little 12 oz bottles are a little over $1!

I wanted to share with everyone that a year ago I had a very severe case of LPR... the silent form of acid reflux and it was so bad.

Jayone and another brand "Sun" I think is the name were the only aloe vera drinks that helped alleviate the acid in my tummy.

You must be careful of drinks that have 'sucralose' stay far and away from that.. and some other sugar called 'tetra-something' ... I forgot.

FOr me, I just take regular sugar for aloe vera drinks... but Jayone is definitely probably the very best for it.

Its good to see you're experiencing some benefits with Jayone - I get the drink whenever I can or whenever I shop at the market. I just need it sometimes to hydrate me.

At work I drink it little by little the entire day.... its great.

But like everything... be careful... too much of anything (even good) is not good for you.

take care!
