I don't have the print-out yet, but I quickly went over them with the doc over the phone.
First of all, I can confirm that oral B-12 methylcobalamin works perfectly for me. I went from 375 in November to 1296 yesterday. I started taking the 5000mcg (Swanson in my case) in January. That value is slightly higher than the highest value recorded when I was still getting hydrocobalamin injections. (tests from the same lab) The optimized folate seems to work even better, as I went from 1.8 mcg/L to 17 mcg/L - which is high, so I'm stopping this for now. Vit D. is a lot better too. I went from untracable (yes...) in 2011 to 40 ng/mL, taking 2 x 2000IU per day. Liver values are excellent - you can't even see I had been a drinker. The only problem is LDL/cholesterol. Apparently that's at 283, and although blood pressure is OK (130/80), the doc thinks I should start taking medication. She knows about the risks of statins, and suggests Liphanthyl. I haven't done any research on that yet, will do that now. (also saw mention of the cayenne tablets...) All in all pretty good, and more proof that the B12 tablets work as advertised. ![]() |
