The most obvious effect is feeling too relaxed....tired and fatigued.

If your kidneys are working normally, then the extra magnesium will be eliminated easily.

If you are taking hypertension medication, it may become too strong a dose, and may need adjustment with magnesium lotion applied too liberally. So patients with hypertension should take their blood pressures at home daily to see if this is happening.

No I never added baking soda, though I have heard about it.

I always LOVE how I feel after an epsom bath soak. Once in awhile I still take one, I just put my feet on edge of tub with a little battery fan on them while I enjoy the hot tub but not often anymore. I use to take one every single night in the winter when I was cold. It helped bring my blood pressure down when it was high and it always makes me sleep better.

I am not taking medications for hypertension. My BP is on the low side. When i feel dizzy - not the usual vertigo type, just feeling off - my BP is low. Last night, my BP was 92/59 with 82 pulse. Nothing triggers it, it just happens.
