All those pain medication cause drowsiness...and you take several.

Some doctors will give either ProVigil for that side effect, or Ritalin. (depending on how severe the drowsiness is for working and driving). Since both medications are controlled substances those doctors who avoid controls, will not prescribe them.

Some of our MS posters have posted about using either one or the other here on the multiple sclerosis forum.
