I came to update this thread and now see that I did not reply to your question. Sorry Jon! I use both CBD and CBD/THC in a ratio of 1:1. I need to update the CBD thread as well.

Since I cannot travel with either product and have not experienced positive results with Lyrica or Gabapentin, I suffer when I travel. At one time, my doctor and I discussed the Fentanyl patch but I do not need 24/7 narcotics and Mrs D advised against it which was all I needed to want to avoid it. Since then, my doctor gave me a low dose of Percocet for travel. I do know about the risks of addition and tolerance but it works.

I never had nerve pain, until two years ago after some dental work left me a mess. Afterwards, I was dx'd with Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia.

Driving on road trips...anything over about thirty minutes is very hard for me.

I can be absolutely fine and then I'm just NOT.

I have Percocet for breakthrough pain. A trip usually means that I'll have to take the Percocet for at least a day, usually two.

I was hoping flying in a plane would be easier. I haven't flown since the satanic dental work. It's been about two years. Now, I'm wondering....Geez.

But, I'm fortunate that my regular meds usually put me in a decent place, so the added Percocet often works. I have had flairs where it hasn't though. Sigh. (I try to concentrate on the fact that I usually can get out of a flare with the Percocet and that is a huge blessing. I hesitate to use it, but I'm fortunate that I have some available to me for emergencies and that it usually works).

I also have some neuropathy in my feet. My right foot is easily treated with OTC Capsaicin cream. It is so weird, I just have to use this stuff once in a while. So, that's a blessing.

My left foot, I've gotten three different dx's...including one neuropathy dx. My left foot is stubborn...whatever is wrong with it. It feels little tingling that hurts. Does this sound like neuropathy?

One doctor made me a compounded cream with something like five different things in it. Well, I hesitated to get the cream, but relented. It has Verapamil, Lidocaine, a muscle relaxer, capsaicin and an anti-inflammatory. Dont' remember all the names. I guess everything is covered. Voila! It works. This foot is now much better as well.

I don't know exactly what's wrong with me...but this nerve stuff is horrid business!!

I have problems from flying too. I suspect it has something to do with the flux in altitudes and oxygen that my body can't respond to, causing a domino effect. There are devices that can attach to phones that measure oxygen levels in flight. After learning about magnesium lotion, I wonder if it would help by opening vessels during the flight. Maybe breathing exercises may help as well. Just theories so far. I will be trying them out on my next long flight. I have done (mild and short in duration) aerobics after the flights in the past which seemed to help.

These flair-ups can be categorized as unbearable.
I have been on Fentanyl and I would not recommend them. I always felt like I was "BLITZED" As for increased pain when getting off a plane, not sure on that specifically but I know any length of time sitting aggravates my pain.

Default Does the CBD help? With tiny amount THC (all legally dispensed)

[
I'm new here. The pain started, right side, almost ten months ago. Now started on left side. Have tried various meds, no good. I lost 50% of my long, thick brown hair on Neurontin. The botox shots works the first time but not the next time. Right side face numb but usually burning around right side mouth, cheek, jaw, right side tongue burns sometimes. My taste buds are shot as I need both to taste. My capability to write (and I'm a food columnist!) is interrupted. I'm
Trying so hard and adopting very evolved attitudes. But now with the pain on both sides I can't see living. Does the CBD with tiny amount of THC help? I'm relocating to be eligible. Connecticut.

As with other meds, it helps some/a good many, but not all/everyone.

Medicinal Marijuana

A case for cannabis

Cannabis. A fork in the road.

Also search the archives for cannabis and/or marijuana (CBD is too short).

If you haven't tried any of the other narcotics I'm not sure you want to start with the Fentanyl patch. I haven't used that but I'm sister did and it was really strong.

Speak to your doctor there may be low doses of it.
