Hello out there!
It is great to find this message board and after reading a lot I wanted to throw this out and see what you think.. A few weeks ago I noticed the big and the second and third toes on my right foot were numb. Now it seems to be creeping up both feet with the right foot being more numb. I don't know if I am imagining it or not but I don't seem to be as sure footed. This has all happened in just a few weeks without surgery, injury or incident. Last week I noticed a sort of numb feeling in my left lower leg during sleep (the sock feeling but no sock). I sometimes wake up at night and one of my hands have fallen asleep but a change in position alleviates that. I am going to have a physical next week to begin the process of trying to find out what is going on with this body. I am 62 and in fairly good health and do not take any medications. My dad is 88 and has had neuropathy for 10 years or so. I have read about ALC, ALA, methylcobalamin etc. I eat a ketogenic diet, drink water and lemon juice and try to stay active. Should I consult with a neurologist? Should I freak out? Your input would be much appreciated! Dious |
