Ok my feet hurt, my only pair comfy ( as much as it gets) footwear is a pair of flip flops, not good for bad weather or for work. All my other shoes HURT :/
Even trainers are not great , I am at a loss as to what to try, do I just suffer the pain or are there other ideas that anyone has ?.. |

Hi BillyLyn5! The most comfy shoes I have found are high top DC shoes with "Powerstep Pinnacle" inserts. Takes a few days to break in the inserts, but after that, it's like walking on a cloud! Works for me, maybe it will work for you? Hope I was of some help!

My Chiro sold me an insert that was better than the gel things at the store but I gather that you have much sensitivity. Perhaps on the tops of your feet? Good luck, Ken in Texas

I've had PN for almost 4 years and am still searching for shoes & socks that work. I'm also flat footed so I need custom made orthotics in my shoes.
For work/dress shoes I've had the most luck with Soft Spot Supremes, they have plenty of room since for my orthotics. For casual I live in my Birkenstock sandals or clogs. Being flat footed I can't even walk around the house without the sandals. The cork footbed acts like an orthotic and if it wasn't fo these I don't know what I would do. I'm still searching for tennis shoes & socks that I can wear to the gym though. For black socks the Worlds Softest socks seem to have some promise, I just bought some this past month. Good Luck

When I am not wearing flip flops, I have a pair of ugg slippers I wear out as shoes. They are soft and don't bother my feet as bad as regular shoes do.
I got dark navy blue ones with a little bling I call my blue suede shoes and I have some brown leather ones. They both look good with jeans. I have pink ones for the house I wear. In the winter time I wear UGG boots. I don't care if people know I am wearing slippers at least when I can't wear flip flops I can wear these or no shoes at all. |

I have major sensitivity on the insteps (tops of the feet). Also, can't stand anything pushing against my toes so pantyhose are out. Even socks can throw me in to agony.
I've been wearing Crocs for about 4 years. That's it, summer and winter. They're extremely lightweight, soft, and very comfy. They also come in lined versions for winter wear. In fact, Crocs brand has expanded their line of footwear to include all kinds of styles. I also found that wearing mens shoes (I'm female) helps some, even with the Crocs. They're made larger/higher in the instep area. I have high insteps on top of it all. Socks, I've found that buying the diabetic type helps a *lot*. They still bother me if the shoe pushes them against my toes but much better than regular socks.

I'm a Birkenstocks girl, year round. Only thing I can tolerate.

Altra athletic shoes have a roomy toe box and don't bother my high instep. Arcopedico lace ups are comfy too.
