Englishdave, what are your eye problems? are they due to the neuropathy or unrelated? I haven't heard of anyone else on here describing eye issues that's why it scared me so much,. Quote Hey Canagirl, In '13, on a rare occasion when I was driving myself back from radiotherapy, I was instantly struck with double vision. At 60mph everyone suddenly decided to drive on the right! After a rest, and by squinting through one eye, I managed to get home. A year of tests, culminating in an MRI, shows a large, jagged lesion in the occipital region of my brain as the untreatable cause. Idiot Neuro could not tell me whether stroke, TIA or something else happened. I wait every day for another incident to rob me of another function. Eye problems are one of the fastest causes of total life disruption. Driving - gone = no freedom. Reading, tv, computers all severely curtailed and modifications needed to participate. Hobbies like photography - impossible. Cause is not as important as effect when we are discussing general living here. It's a hard road, which is why you need to take in Littlepaw's words. A similar journey from one who comes out fighting - with help - should give you a great boost. Try not to let things overwhelm you, new symptoms will appear - some related, some not - our bodies love to break down like a car, once something goes it takes other seemingly unrelated parts with it. That is why Counselling/Therapy would be SO important for you to cope with all these issues. I would also watch your Depression and self-esteem with your position at work. Ok, so it takes your mind off things and isn't strenuous, but crying in the bathroom is mentally shattering. Think about this. Dave.

I know! My doc didn't seem to concerned about it. He doesn't think the acupuncture caused anything. He did admit however that he can easily see some of the spots (he put his fingers right on them before I had a chance to point them out ) They are small, red little bumps (you would mistake them for a pimple except they are in the exact same spots on either side of my spine (spots where she put the needle in) and have been there for months. He gave me a cream and that was it. Maybe I will ask for a blood test...what kind of test should it be?

[QUOTE=mrsD;1138853]What herb did you take?
fenugreek. I had taken the fenugreek alone a few months prior and had no issues. I asked the prescribing doctor about taking them together and she said it should be fine...obviously not. |

I would ask to be tested for sarcoid, and Behcets syndrome.
Sarcoidosis makes inflammatory tissue in the body for little or no reason. And Behcets is an autoimmune disease that causes skin reactivity to injury. Having those bumps still be there is not typical. Behcet's: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beh%C3%A7et%27s_disease one test for this is disturbing the skin with a needle to see if a bump occurs that is slow to heal. Sarcoid: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarcoidosis

I believe for sarcoid it is a test for ACE enzyme in the blood.

Behcet's: http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-c...s/con-20027549 The pathergy test is commonly done first to screen. You seem to still have your bumps from the acupuncture!

The symptoms you list are the same symptoms that I am having. It sounds like you were able to heal. Can you please share the medication and dosage that you were on which helped you? Many thanks Sancerre |
