Received my biopsy results today. It shows decreased nerve fiber density but morphology is normal. My questions is: how come there is less fiber density but no nerve damage?

That is what the damage itself is. Low density. Do you mind telling us your symptoms and how you progressed and if your diagnoses has no found cause? There are a few of us here including me who have SFN and it is idiopathic.

They havent found a cause. My feet constantly feel like something is moving in them. Been getting more twitches mainly in the legs, pulsing sensation through out the body, sometimes feel like water drops all over random places. Pin pricks on occasions, at times minor burning spots. They mostly come and go on different days. The feet thing has been constant since April.
