Heb, today wasn't much better but I toughed it out.

Damp, cold rain hit right around quitting time near the city. I knew it was coming. Yuck.

My neuropathy is definitely at it's worst on hot humid days. That has been the weather for the past week, even when it rains it has been hot and humid. feel like I am in "turtle mode" Thank God , the humidity is suppose to finally break tomorrow.

That was no treat in Central Florida, early July.

This was like the cold version, minus fatigue, plus dandy touches like my right hamstring threatening to mutiny all day long if I stepped wrong, which is always possible.

Autumn was a favorite season...

Default Magnesium Tablets

[QUOTE=mrsD;1166023]Have you tried the lotion form? This gets through the skin where the circulation may be blocked by inflammation.
Morton Epsom Lotion is at WalMart, most Walgreen's and online at Amazon. It is quite affordable.

http://www.amazon.com/Morton-Epsom-L...n+epsom+lotion

Use about a quarter's diameter daily on your worst areas. You can rotate them each day, as one application may last more than one day. Tops of feet, and ankles. Knees, below and along both sides, inner arms and wrists, and a small amount on the neck if needed. These are some locations I use.

MrsD , I do use the Morton Epson lotion. I usually get it from Walmart. It helps with the burning on the bottom of my feet and when my hands get sensitive. I have widespread burning so I do use it on other locations too. Is there a limit to how much I should use in one day? I usually use about a quarter's diameter or more. Is it unsafe If I used too much?

I'm also taking Country Life Chelated Magnesium 250 mgs , twice a day. I also tried Doctor's Best. I've been taking the Chelated for over two years now. I thought I would try a different Magnesium Pill. CVS only sells the Mag Oxide.
What are some other types of Magnesium pills I could try? I usually buy my B vitamins and Mag online. I take Mag for cramping in my calves, and to see if it will help with my pain and burning, and also for the overall benefits. My Doctors know I take 400 mgs a day. They never say not to take it. So I'm thinking its safe to take and won't hurt.
Is there is a section in this forum I should go to on which are the better Vitamins and Supplements we could try for pain and burning?
After all this time I still have a hard time remembering how to navigate things around here.
As always, thank you for your response. It helps so much to know I can come here for some great advice and support from my very knowledgeable friends.

I remember MrsD posting NOT to use too much of the lotion but I don't remember what the issue was. If she doesn't see this you could PM her, although she is so great about responding to posts.

I live in sunny humid Florida and I hope the cooler weather comes soon. For me hot humid weather triggers my symptoms something fierce.

Yep, heat and humidity is bad, saps me.

But this, this is giving me my usual numbness, the 24/7 pins & needles/buzzing/vibrating in my arms and legs that has been going on on plus a nice deep ache that is mine for the nice low price of... free.

I think that when I was on Lyrica it was doing a good job of masking these symptoms and I guess I will find that out for sure once Autumn truly arrives.

Since the lotion by Morton does not give a concentration of the contents, we don't know how much you are getting.

The problem with oral is that if areas that are causing problems don't have open blood circulation, the magnesium in the blood won't get there. Hence the topical bypasses the blockages.

Inflammation typically reduces blood flow to the affected areas.

If you want to use more of the lotion, I'd cut back on the oral supplements for a while. You can't be sure your kidneys will remove excess magnesium well.

Don't put it on the bottoms of the feet....it is wasted there and won't get through the thick skin. Rub in a small amount on the tops of the feet and up thru the ankles, for better effects.

I can't figure out what's worse the pressure rising or dropping. I never looked to see. I just know that I am severely affected by the weather and the ozone levels big time too.

To tie the thread together like the Dude's carpet his room in the Big Lebowski, Mortons has been getting a generous (for me) application to my calf area after shower.

Like the Dude, though not as strongly I prefer Creedence over The Eagles.

I am wondering, Jon... If you have pain in your
muscles mostly like your calves, have
you been evaluated for peripheral artery disease(PAD)?
