Not good vibrations at all
![]() It's been buzzing in my foot now for hours, my heal seems the worst. Thing is it is in my left foot. My problems were in my right foot only. This weekend my legs went heavy and made walking difficult again, then last night I was having really bad extremely pain full shock like pains in my left knee. This morning if was done and I felt good till about 6 hours ago. It's doing my head in!! How do I stop it? I've tried feet up, walking around, distraction but nothing has worked. I just took my night time dose of lyrica and I'm hoping it will help or it could be a long night tonight and I'm working in the morning. Does this happen with neuropathy or is there something else going on? |

Itsounds similar to what I encounter at times, sometimes worse, sometimes lighter though lately that has not been the case, sadly.
It may sound trite or impossible as a solution, but I have found mindfulness and distraction to be as effective as most medication, though tramadol is pretty effective for me. Sadly I found out how dependent I am on it this past month, but this condition is a really tough nut. I wish you the best.

I'm still on a low vibrate but I also have pain in my big toe. So at least it's different today! Variety is the spice of life.
I don't really know what to expect with this so its all kind of new. Every day is a school day! |

Oh joy, I'm sitting with my feet up after a long day and I now have both feet in vibrate mode.
Maybe I should just keep busy and I'll not notice it so much. I'm sure I have some washing and ironing I could be doing. |

I've found my brain has started to filter it out as noise...just as it has the floaters in my eyes. Only when it's bad, does it register anymore. Now that's just the buzzing...not the burning or zapping. That's much harder to filter.
That being said, I did have one occasion where I had a really strong buzz in my lower leg. It was above and beyond anything I'd had before. It lasted for about 3 days, and then I suddenly got sharp zapping pains that originated in my butt and ran right down through that spot. Then as quickly as that buzzing started in that spot, it stopped. |

Sorry your having so many issues these past couple days. I had the whole twitching/cramping/buzzing thing in the first few months that I had this, then those symptoms settled down and pain became the primary issue. (Kind of frustrating when your phone buzzes in your pocket, but when you go to answer it you realize its not actually ringing and that buzz in your leg is still there.)
When I started gabapentin, it seemed to really reduce the muscular symptoms (twitching/cramping/buzzing). But, I see you are on lyrica (a similar drug) - and it's apparently not helping. So, unfortunately I don't have a solution for you; the only thing I can offer is support. You are experiencing symptoms that are similar to many others here with SFN - although it seems that many doctors don't recognize these as related to SFN. Like you, I have to drag my butt to work every day despite the symptoms. I've been fortunate that things have stabilized for me over the past few months. Not sure if its because of the supplements I'm taking, or just the course the disease is taking for me. Don't lose hope, and make sure your doing the best you can to keep the nerves healthy with nutrition, supplements, etc. |
