Just wanted to give additional info re sarcoidosis as it is not limited to a few organs - it is most usually found in the lungs b/c people have more lung x-rays than any other area of the body. Sarcoidosis is permanent scarring of any tissue it invades whether inside or outside the body. Sarcoidosis appears as horribly burned skinned on the outside of the body. It is around my heart, I've lost one-third of lungs to it and almost lost my liver years ago until my liver regenerated itself. Sarcoid can enter all organs and if inside the brain/heart, it is fatal. I cannot rememer the Sarcoidosis site at this time but once my memory kicks in I will post the thread here.
