Hi Dan:
Happy Turkey Day right back at ya. Alan tasted my mock Sweet Potato Pie. He died and went to heaven. I had to pour sugar fee maple syrup over it (just for him). Can you imagine that? So eat lots of stuff you're not supposed to eat. I mean, it's Thanksgiving. me??? I will have a small slice of cranberry sauce on my turkey. I mean, what's turkey without gravy and cranberry sauce? melody

We had a great Gluten free day! Even the pie crust was made from Gorilla Munch cereal!
My son did a great job-- he loves to cook, and I helped a bit too ![]() Now I will have to starve myself for the next week! He made homemade eggnog... very good, but very very rich. We had guacamole for appetizers, while waiting for "the bird" and garlic potatoes, baked squash (my fave) and gluten free stuffing (with dried cherries and fresh apples). He thickened the gravy with arrowroot..and that came out very well! He lives in a big complex of apartments and townhouses, so driving around looking for his unit can be confusing. But the dumpster by his place had the Gorilla Munch box hanging out of it...the top was open... so we knew right away to turn into that lot! It was a beacon calling to us! LOL

I had a very nice Thanksgiving this year. We deep fried two turkeys and a turkey breast. My adult kids were both home (explains all the turkey..they wanted leftovers), and we have a new puppy who went the entire day without an accident (yay!), and dinner turned out awesome. I even got my Christmas tree up this weekend... way ahead of schedule for me, but sort of nice to have it up.
I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving Day, too, Dan!! Cara
