I do have a walgreens just down the street so I called them and all they carry is the slowmag so I would have to order it and that's not free.
I will call Costco tomorrow. I have a Samclub membership but like Costco better. We are scheduled to have one built like a half a mile from my home but with the economy who knows now. Thanks for your awesome help mrsD! Marty

I have never heard of a drugstore charging extra for ordering something. Did they tell you they would charge you extra?
That is totally odd.

Here is some information on Niacin safety:
http://lpi.oregonstate.edu/infocente...cin/index.html Quote:
Most commercial B-complexes have nicotinamide as the niacin form. Anyone getting liver toxicity at the lower doses, may have a reason for that...pre-existing liver damage from viruses or other situations.

mrsD, You suggested taking 300 mg of CoQ-10 for 2 months. What do I do after the 2 months of taking? Also out of the above what is the most important other then the B-12 to start with? I'm having a hard time keeping it in so I'm going to introduce all the above slowly. I'm thinking it's the Magnesium citrate causing me the looseness. -Marty

How much magnesium are you taking? At 1/2 the RDA you should not have much looseness.
Two months is the typical time period to see some improvement. Even small/tiny gains, means that the supplements are working. At 300mg you should see/feel something at 2 months. If not, it would be your decision to go longer. Use a quality CoQ-10 that says it has enhanced absorption. Remember you have PN for 12 years! Supplements for you are iffy for this long..some cells may be dead. (numbness would suggest dead cells). Pain is better, meaning some improvement may still be possible.

-I'm taking 150mg of magnesium citrate in powder form. I was trying to do this twice a day is this to much? I'm on soooooo many vitamin pills right now I have no idea if one or all are making me loose. I've cut back on the vitamin c to just one 500mg pill a day as well. -Ok so after 2 months on the CoQ-10 if I'm improving stay on that amount right? If not I will go to 3 month and see. ![]() http://www.iherb.com/High-Absorption...e-Caps/20?at=0 -Yes 12 years is a long time ![]() My vitamin list:

That Doctor's Best product has Bioperine in it. If you take any RX medications it might interfere with them.
The other type of enhanced absorption products are "gel" types, and some say Q-sorb on them, etc.

Cut back to 1/2 of the magnesium you are taking...and take it with food. Food helps with "looseness".
Vit C causes diarrhea in some people in high doses. I only take 500mg a day myself. (timed release so it is slowly absorbed). And really.... try to avoid MSG... that is murder on nerves. So is aspartame artificial sweetener. I avoid it whenever possible. The aspartic acid can overstimulate nerves, like glutamate does. Some of what people get with PN is dietary. We consume things that are just terrible for the nervous system.

The only RX I'm on is Lyrica and sometimes I need tramadol. Is there a known issue with these?
