Hi Hannah!!
I have Egyptian Cotton sheets!!! I love them!!! The ones I have are 1000 thread count... or so the tag says... They are on the pricey side... I think I spent about $80.00 for the set. (fitted, flat, two pillow cases) I got mine from overstock.com they had the best prices... My mom sent me some that are 800 count and very nice too... she said she got them from Costco... she wouldn't tell me the price... but knowing mom...she got them for a bargain. I haven't had any problems with them "knotting" or whatever it's called. I hope you find something that works for you... ![]() Abbie

I use both Egyptian cotton as noted above and the jersey knit (think t-shirt) sheets. The knit sheets are for when I can't bear the cold of the Egyptian cotton; the cotton are for when the cool actually feels soothing.
I hope you can find something that works for you. Sleeping with this condition is difficult enough without sensory issues interfering even more. ![]() |

I have heard that you want to get sheets that are at least 300 Thread Count to prevent the knotting.
But, I'm like Abasaki. I prefer 1000 thread count. Bed Bath and Beyond have some great sheets that are 1000 TC, but they are definitely on the pricey side. |

I got mine at Bed Bath & Beyond and I know I was looking for high thread count but i dont recall the tag has 100%cotton. They are so soft. That reminds me of the nightmare when i went to Fla to see a pain Dr. I stayed with my Grandmother who had pilly sheets and both legs flared up and i wanted to come out of my skin! Now I know if i travel i have to bring my own sheets. momof4

My daughter got married last year and registered for "bamboo sheets." and I thought "OUCH! - Bamboo?" all I could think of was a fishing pole!
Well, they somehow shred the baby bamboo plants into a very soft fiber. Wow, are these comfortable. Although not an issue for me, I guess these are also hypoallergenic. The next time I treat myself to some new linens, I am going to try some. I have not heard how they last as far as pilling, though. Does anyone have any long-term experience with bamboo sheets and longevity? Mike |

Ok I know I am weird but I sleep on top of a comforter. I can't stand sheets unless they are microfleece and since I live in FL it is too hot.

Hi Hannah,
Believe it or not, I bought Egyptian Cotton sheets at Walmart. They are really soft and wash well. Remember if you do not want sheets to get the balls on them, you have to wash them seperately all by themselves. That will keep them from getting the balls. The sheets at Walmart, only cost $35.00 for a queen set. Check it out. Sandy |

By the way, I had posted just prior to Christmas a website that sells bamboo shirts and clothing. Man, do they feel good!
It's at: http://www.bambooclothes.com/ |

Even though bamboo is marketed as the "GREEN" echo friendly sheet it does have chemicals in it to turn the bamboo into fibers. They are also being advertised as temperature regulating but as I have found they cannot keep up with the RSD changes. Maybe for a normal person? To me they are just another sheet with a marketing ploy soft as cashmere, smooth as silk with the price tag.
