No way of knowing without researching it. Every plan and insurer has a different policy on scooters. It would be easy to find out though. Call the subscriber phone number on the back of your card and get an operator on the phone to discuss benefits. Explain to them that your are not ambulatory, need mechanical assistance and if your medical doctor writes a prescription for a scooter, is it then a covered benefit under your policy? They will tell you (of course with a disclaimer that there statement is not a gaurantee of benefits) with some certainty the answer! If you have one, also check the written copy of your policy as sometimes it is different from what you are told. I would also repeat the phone call several times as different operators may give you different answers. Good Luck!
