thanks everyone for your input. I will definately be talking to the docs before deciding anything. The reason I was for this surgery to begin with was to help my health outlook. It would help greatly if not eliminate my diabetes, help with the pressure on my knees and back from arthritis, lower my blood pressure and possibly help with the neuropathy in my toes (it's very mild and varies from time to time) This gives me more to think about though. I will be very cautious in my decision making. It's nice to know there are people out there who care and understand instead of just calling me "lazy" because I can't do everything I used to with just having the one hand to use now.
