Hi , my name is Danny . I've had rsd fullbody since nov 2008 I was denied benefits twice I guess because I didnt have a diagnosis yet . That changed after 2.1/2 years of everytest and over 20 Drs. Finally I was able to see dr swArtzmann and he knew it was rsd in the first 30 seconds. I had a lawyer today at the hearing and she said it went well and thinks I will b approved. Since the judge didn't have the vocational specialist speak for the ss side at all. I've had kettimine injs that gave me a little hope but I'm not able to work at this point in time. Hope all of you are feeling well today.if anyone has a thought about my case. The first two times I didn't have a diag yet. Now I do with a lawyer. I don't see them deny n me this time. Anythoughts??

One person with RSD might not fit the legal requirements of SSDI approval, while another easily does. If your attorney believes you will be successful, than that sounds promising for you. |

Best advice I can give is to get your primary CRPS doctor to write a letter outlining your "functional and occupational limitations". That can make all of the difference. Submit that letter to Social Security. With that letter, all of my extensive medical records and solid legal representation, I was awarded benefits on my initial application. Here is a link to a forum that specializes in Social Security Disability. Check it out and good luck on your next hearing... http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum28.html |

Welcome to Neuro Talk. You will find some compassion and some good advise on this site. I really hope your hearing goes well. There are others on this site who have gone through the process for disability. I was turned down twice also, but in the end, I was granted my disability. I hope for the best possible outcome for you. There is also a disability forum that deals specifically with SSD, SSDI issues that you might want to look into. There may be others there, that can help while you wait for this hearing. Waiting is somtimes the hardest part to the whole process. take care, ginnie

I wish you luck with your disbility hearing. Most claims are denied only a small percentage are approved. The same conditions apply to appeals. If approved it is usually approved at the hearing stage when roughly only ten percent are denied. Joydee |
