So happy that I am able to spread the word to fellow RSD/CRPS'ers.
![]() My mother suffers from CRPS in her left leg. Cannot explain to you how badly this has changed her life and ours. Her pain is just to much to handle. Up until now the pain and depression had taken over her life. We were researching Ketamine treatments, we're desperate. It was that time that I prayed and received an email the next day! Has anyone heard of Calmare Pain Therapy Treatment!? Its new, developed in Italy. There are currently only 20 of the machines in the US. I was lucky enough to get my mother into the only doctor located on the West Coast. She had consult yesterday and her first treatment today! She literally went from a 8-9 pain to walking out pain free!! Wow is all I can say. You can research it, but basically it scrambles the brain. It re-programs the brain that there is no pain there. Its non invasive, no side effects and ITS NOT PAIN FULL! Usually it consists of 10-12 treatments 45 min these are done every day. The pain is gone immediately and lasts for a few hours. Gradually the pain comes back However, each day the therapy is done it comes back less and less until finally, its gone completely or at a 1-2. Some people have gone 3 months pain free to 1 year! If the pain comes back, you simply go back in for a booster treatment! This is such a MAJOR breakthrough for people with the chronic pain condition and my mom is proof!! SO exciting I had to share the success. and did I mention its something like 91% effective!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Natasha, I'm happy your mom had such wonderful results! But this isn't a new treatment. It's just not one a lot of Drs use, as it's one that's kind of in the experimental area. Many many people have used it and gotten amazing results, also there is a booster shot that is a MUST for the treatment to keep working. Continues blessings of health and pain free days to your mom!

And there are also many who have reported no improvement at all from this treatment in spite of having to spend thousands of USD on 'treatments'.
It's great to hear of any individual who feels that they have had lasting and/or significant symptom relief (although after a single session i think it could be a bit premature to get quite so excited) but this device hasn't yet gone through any published, properly constructed clinical trials. Without that, there's no objective evidence of its efficacy nor is there any detailed information about what it is or what is believed to be its method of action. What I am most interested in first, is a proper technical explanation of how and why this device is different from plain old fashioned TENS. It claims to be different but doesn't actually say what is different about it. The manufacturer's website has plenty of words but they don't actually say much. If anyone with CRPS wants to try this then that is their choice, of course, and I would wish them a positive outcome. However, its important to be able to make an informed decision and at this time, the information available is largely annecdotal or arises from numerically insignificant, poorly designed trials. |

I'm starting to see a pattern here. A flood of Calmare treatment success stories in recent weeks by new members. In years past I've read where some where successful, most where not. There's a doctor in Texas that has his gizmo, then there's the standard money making fare for many doctors---spinal stimulator and several other gadgets. But the flood all of a sudden of all the success of Calmare treatments is strange. I hope it's not a selling ploy.

Sorry, it's just that I get angry about people targeting sufferers of something as horrible as this just to sell something using such tactics. Bram. ![]()

Hi everyone
as I mentioned on another thread: Quote:
Also do remember to check the date when a thread was started...this one was back in January and has had no further posts till someone bumped it up today. So I am going to lock this one too as it has run its course.
