Default The Call - part 2 (and other stuff)

Wednesday, I got a call back from my GI about my scaly skin/possible side effect of omeprazole and he wanted to run a few labs. So...being the person I am, I emailed my PCP to let them know the orders were coming. Oh, and I probably have a UTI, so can we get a U/A C&S while we're at it? Oh, and can we do that at the clinic closest to me? Thanks.

PCP got the orders (and included the requested U/A C&S) and I had that all done yesterday. Thank goodness the phlebotomist read my chart & used a butterfly automatically!

Last night my U/A was posted. Yup. I have a UTI. Pretty good one too. So I sent my PCP my updated pharmacy info.

This morning, my bloodwork posted. A little off but most likely due to the infection.

Then, I get a call from RIC. They had a cancellation, was I still interested? Considering I have now left my room 5 times in the past 6 weeks and the only alternative solution is changing PCP's and PM...okay. Well, my stupid insurance changed Dec. 1st to an Integrated Care Program so now I have to travel 2 hours into the city for an "evaluation". Then the insurance gets the evaluation and decides whether or not to approve it. Oh. Yay.

Meanwhile, I have to change my endocrinology appointment to accommodate this. And my GI calls - "labs look good" and to schedule a follow up. Cool.

The PCP sent a script for an antibiotic with a message to increase my fluid intake (yeah, right, I can hardly make it to the bathroom, like THAT'S gonna happen). My daughter went to pick it up. Not covered. What? Boy am I glad that bill to repeal got vetoed. <sarcasm>

I sent the endocrinologist an email because they got a Vit D level (low) and I wanted to see if I could forego the appointment.

This crap is all going to kill me.
