Just wanted to peek in here and give a quick update on my daughter. We're in week 5 of an intense outpatient rehab program for kids with chronic pain. My daughter started the program in a wheelchair with severe allodynia, no shoes or socks on her right foot at all. She's 10 now, she was 9 when I first posted in here. Now at week 5 she is wearing shoes and socks 8+ hours a day, and she has been out of the wheelchair for a couple weeks, and today will be down to one crutch, with hope for crutch free steps by the end of this week. She still has pain, but she is getting functional, and learning so many ways to cope. The Drs say that the pain is the last thing to go.
