You could be having some effects of post traumatic stress disorder {PSTD} also. Due to the fire...and the losses.
Has your psychologist mentioned it at all or has the topic come up? I think if you can deal with one thing first - possibly the dr & pain meds part.. You might feel a bit more able to cope.
