Default Worried about surgey

Ive got a up coming surgery[revision for the hip],,i just had THR 3 months ago[pain is bad and stabbing upon weght bearing].you should be walking after 3 weeks with no pain Im still on crutches which .means its eaither a loose cup,,or rsd migrated there,,,the surgery could be a disaster,,or could be better,,,but after all these meds and so many surgeries in the past,,my liver is fired up and tender and some shortness of breath ,,exspecially right after i take 2 percocet,,plus all these surgeries are hard on the heart ,,im going to see my dr in about 2 weeks ,,and ask if he wants or knows about the long continous blocks,,,if need be i can always throw it down the road another 6 weeks,,but im tired of the pain,,and as you all the know the insurance gets iffy, so i dont wanna get stuck like this, ,,,either way,,,id appreciate your input,,and expertise,,im 48,and ive even have a rash on one of my feet,,i think its a reaction from the long term and adverse reation of the opiates, and acetpedom and all the other boat load of meds i was on,,i should have known better,,i do trust in God and psalms 139: 14-16 tells me my days are predeston before i was born, i do joke alot here at times,,but this is to lift up a tired grieveing group of souls,,you guys are the best,,and makes me forget about the enevitable,,,,,,,,ps ive off all my meds until surgery,,gotta let this liver heal,,,, ive abused my body alot in my time. i guess as my dad used to say is true before he died,,,when you dance ,,you gotta pay the fiddler,,,,sorry about the typos,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,bobber

I wish you a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. I find a lot of comfort in the Psalms.

I am sending thoughts as well. It is understandable to be worried. Do you have real time support as well to help you? Try to take one day at a time. I am not good with that as I am a worry wort but am working on it. You will be in my thoughts. Please take care

Bob -

Please. Get a copy of the radiologist's report of the bone scan to show to you PM. And if the jerk of a neurologist is the guy who's reading the films and writing the report, then you need to get copies of the images themselves.

I'm no doc, but that sounds like a classic positive bone scan report for RSD/CRPS. Sorry. So, I'm not sure that a clean result on the blood test for autoimmunes gets you out of the woods. Can't believe the neurologist said he didn't know what RSD was, but you didn't have it!

Hey Bobber,
You mentioned postponing the surgery for 6 weeks. I'm confused----do you really want a surgeon operate on you that doesn't know about RSD. Do you have confidence in this surgeon? Surgery is critical thing when we have RSD. It can get worse-the RSD. I don't want to scare you, but you want to be sure regarding surgery and your diagnosis.
Where do you live? Close to the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio?
I'm not comfortable with what's going on here. Is this WC or private insurance? The RSDSA is a national organization that you may get some good names from or at least a rsd support group location and phone number. You can get a lot of good information from a local group, regarding Drs. etc.
Let us know what is going on? Please, Your friend, loretta
