Linda,
That's just great!
For both Sis and You!
I'm so happy, that you have the means and the support of your own family to do that!

God Bless Ya'll!

(Was wonderful to hear your voice yesterday!)

Hi friends,

I finally slept today..about 6 hrs. It was the best sleep I have had since Wanda came home last Saturday. I miss my hubby and son. I think the reality has set in that I will not see them for a month..and hubby telling me he and my son feel lost without me. We text and talk on the phone several times per day..it is nice to be missed.

I am enjoying my stay at my sister's home. Wanda and I stay in the same room most of the time. I ask,"Wanda, where are you?" when I see that she has left the area. Wanda is only out of the hospital for 4 days, and she is hard to keep in a restful position. I woke up to Wanda telling me that there are french fries and hamburgers ready in the kitchen..she had cooked!! The woman wears me out, I love her

I am able to do my water pt everyday. The last two days, AZ monsoons blew in AND they leave as fast as they come.

I hope each of you have been doing well. Thank you for posting on Wanda's blog, she is very appreciative of your prayers and kind thoughts.
So am I

Dew

It is good you got rest. Wow I did not know you were staying a month. You are an amazing sister. Really. I am sure your family misses you. I remember when my mom went away to help my gram for 3 weeks when I was little who had cancer. I missed her so and it was just me and my dad. Like you we talked all the time and I knew she had to be there for my gram even as a kid. My dad and I bonded during that time as well. I'm glad you are able to do the pool cause I think it is so key you also take care of you. Many thoughts always

Linda (DEW)
God's given you a gift.
You get to "feel the feelings of life".
Of missing, and being missed.
Of being where you are needed, and need to be.

And, all the thoughts, and times that come along for the ride, I hope will stay
in a private little memory file, inside your heart, forever!

Enjoy it, while you're doing it!
And, let ALL the emotions wash over you!

love,

Pete

I am glad that you got some sleep and that you're able to do some PT. The water must be lovely!

Great to hear that your sister is up and about so fast after surgery. If that's not encouraging, then I don't know what is. That's fantastic news.

Mad Update on Dew in AZ 07/26/09

Hi friends,

My sister, Wanda, is healing, well. She experiences pain longer than anticipated, and she was required to ask for more pain meds. Wanda will get the surgical biopsy results this Tuesday,07/28/09/

Last month, I went through a very difficult ordeal getting the OpanaER script from my PM doc's office to the pharmacist. Well, after dealing with last month's stress from PM recept., going to my PM appt. before I left for AZ, I was assured that I would not have to stress over that issue again.

I called PM doc office and spoke with his receptionist on Monday,07/20/09. As of last Thursday, the pharmacist still had o script. I was dealing with this same issue again!!! The difference is that I am in AZ..which is stressful in its own realm. I talk to the PM recept. on Thursday, and she gives the same story that she mailed it the previous Monday. OKC mail to Lawton is one day...4 days had passed. I called Friday..no script. I was fit to be tied.

I called the recept. and told her that this was the 3rd time she fell through on my meds, 2nd time on the OpanaER, and I did not want to deal with her. I wanted to speak with the doc. The doc was not in..of course!
She said that once she mailed it last Monday, it was out of her control. I told her that stress intensified my pain as a CRPS patient and that my pain is out of control without my pain medications being handled properly. I can not believe this is happening again after my PM doc promised me that his office would get it right this time.

Receptionist and I had choice words with each other, and I reminded her that she really did it this time..this is outright negligence since i cannot stop OpanaER without tapering off. Also, I told her that if anything happened to me where I ended up in an AZ hospital because i don't have the OpanaER,pm doc and she would be personally responsible Recept. told me not to threaten her, i said it wasn't a threat..it was a fact.

She told me to hold on and called the doc. He told her to fax a script of Norco 10/325 and have my hubby express mail it to me. That med did not work for me before, and that is why he put me on OpanaER. I told her that my atty. will be calling PM doc Monday morning, 07/28/09.

Recept. told me that maybe the script would be at the OK pharmacy the next day, Sat...wait and see. Sat, came and went..still no script at the pharmacist..OMG!

I am on edge..I am homesick..it is HOT here..I want to go home. That is a definite possibility..I will see after my sister's appt. on Tuesday, this week.

My husband got injured on one of his jobs on Saturday(yesterday). It looks like his ankle might be broken..if it isn't one thing, it is another.

I am sorry this is happening again. I hope today being Monday things will get sorted. I think you should talk to the doctor again about this to make sure it does not happen for a 3rd time. I hear how stressed you are and I am sorry about your husband. Please take a deep breath and do something for yourself to get more peace and comfort. I know it is hard with all that is going on but you can't help others if you are in a bad place. Just a thought not trying to be an order. Just worried about you. When do you go home? I am sending many thoughts and I hope the day gets better

Did she really call the doctor, I wonder? I hope you get this mess with your scripts sorted immediately. I'd schedule a visit with the doctor and explain this awful mess to him personally. He might not even know what's going on.

I hope your hubby's ankle isn't broken.

I also hope you won't have to return home sooner than expected because of this mess with your scripts.

DEW,
I'm sorry and upset to hear all this.
My fine doctor, (and his team) have, to help me cut costs, have me come in every three months, and call in for "Med checks" each of the two months in between.
Then they send the prescription for my methadone "registered mail, with return receipt"!

This has been working perfectly for almost three years, never a miss step.
(And, the pharmacy is not the best).

DEW,
This will pass...Keep the Faith!

Pete
