Update from Mom:
"Good morning! Claire went into surgery at 7:45AM and we have received two updates from the nurse. She is doing great and everything is going smoothly. She was calm and relaxed when they took her back. So far the surgeon has placed her new central line an is now into the other part of the surgery. We are sitting here with friends and family, 12 in all. I'm encouraged by the people who have been able to come sit with us today. Claire will get out of surgery around 12:30 or 1."

Latest update:
"Claire is still in surgery and is about 2/3 of the way there. The surgeon is now working on the more complicated part of the tumor and it will probably be another couple of hours. She is doing good and everything is going as anticipated, just taking longer. We'll update soon!"

Claire is out of surgery! ALL of the tumor was successfully extracted. After 9 hours of tedious surgery, praise the Lord for His mercy, protection, and this great news of all able to be removed. There were no complications. Tumor was sent for more pathology. She will remain in PICU for the next few days. Thank you all for lifting her up before the throne of grace!

Update from Dad (my nephew):
"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise Him in the morning and praise Him in the evening, Praise the Lord!. Dr. Daniel Kim, surgeon and David Ratchford, anesthesiologist were able to successfully remove Claire's tumor, without any complications. They began this morning at 7:45 and finished this afternoon at 4:30. What a marathon! We are at PICU this evening and may be moved tomorrow to AFLAC side of the hospital. She is recovering well and Nadjia will stay with her this evening. Thank you for your prayers and everyone that came and sat with us ALL day, You all are the Body of Christ in action to us. Thank You."

Sending prayers for a speedy recovery and blessings to her dedicated family, hugs to all that circle in support.
It is terrible waiting for surgery to end, and then the recovery. Hugs to all. di

Things seem to be going smoothly. I'm sure it will be a tough few days for everyone. Mom posted a funny update last night.....said she got in trouble with the PICU nurses for pushing buttons on the bed! I'm sure she really didn't "get in trouble" but it was funny to picture her pushing buttons and then having a nurse appear and scolding her!

Most recent update from Mom:
"Thank you for all the encouraging notes and joining us in praising our Lord. Last night was a little rough, I'm not going to lie. As you can imagine a three year old who has been in surgery for nine hours isn't the sweetest thing (hahaha). The nurses in the PICU have made her as comfortable as possible and she did get some sleep as did I. She is eating and drinking. Right now, she is asleep on Seth's chest. They are moving her out of the PICU as soon as a room opens up in the AFLAC floor. She still has a chest tube for drainage and will be on IV fluids until she eats and drinks a little more. She is doing great and we are so thrilled that she is not experiecing any complications. I have to send a big THANK YOU to our church family for being here yesterday to support us. It made the time pass quicly and we enjoyed fellowshipping with you all."
