Default Actually, you all are the ones who ROCK

Hello all of you Blessings! You are among those who keep me buoyant! Here we are 8 June, the day has closed long ago for those who schedule surgical events. I heard nothing today. Nothing from the legal dudes, nothing from my blessed scheduler, nothing that would have given me hope the insuror was on board and working my claim.

Were it not so irritating, it would be comical that we sat in my physiatrist's office six months, count them 1,2,3,4,5,6 AGO hearing him tell me and my wife we were right for SCS therapy. Oh, we had talked about it before, but then I was kinda skittish about being cut on again..... Cutting doesn't always go well. Just this evening we heard from our friend Kathy in Texas who asks for prayers for her sister [please join in praying for her if you will ] because 28 hours ago her sister underwent back surgery and has neither regained consciousness nor is she breathing on her own. Even so, in January my wife and I did make the decision to proceed. We did. We started waiting. Going through the multi-disciplinary steps preceding surgery for SCS.

I am so sore, and feeling disheartened at not hearing regarding my scheduling. All in good time. In God's will it will come, insuror reticence, delay, or dawdling notwithstanding.

Thank you all for your prayers and for helping us bear up while waiting,
Your help is so SO worth it,
Mark56 :sigh:

Laugh Omg bmw !

Where did you GET those guys!!!

Laughing like this does indeed make the SCS 'surge'........ya might want to keep that in mind for future reference Mark!

ON a more SERIOUS note ! Yes, indeed, sending many prayers for Kathy's sister! This sounds very intense!
I will light my usual little 'prayer candle' and crawl in 'Abba Pappa's' lap to do my praying!

LuvUall!!

We still await news on both matters. Just sent a message to Kathy. No doubt she is keeping vigil. Will post when I have anything for sure.

Default 9 June Mid-Day

Hi All- Still no news on SCS date for me. None.

Regarding Kathy, and she appreciates your prayers, her sister remains in ICU now two days after involved back surgery. She is on ventilator and has shown some signs of trying to arouse from the anesthesia. They think another couple of days in ICU at least. Kathy's sister had severe scoliosis as a child and underwent dramatic back surgery at the age of 16 in 1963. The rods had ling since broken. All was removed, and new hardware installed to fuse her from sacrum through the entirety of her spine. I know it is off topic to my thread, but your continued prayers are gratefully acknowledged by Kathy.

Praying,
Mark56

Default ...........ya know...

.....i was thinkin....
Now, I do realize that you probably can't see the forrest thru the trees (?) right now because you are in quite alot of pain and frustration.......

But, regarding this thread........and taking into account we've passed over one hundred posts ! PLUS, there is no lack of 'illustrations' in which this would actually make quite a good book to publish!! ......and we did discuss this about 20 threads ago.......

......Here's the real 'kicker'.......your thread is titled "ANS EON by St. Judes"....
when in fact you are gonna be a 'Boston Scientific' Bionic-Butt!!
......I dunno, but to me that is just downright awesome.

You've got a 'best-seller' in the making here!.......
And it WILL have a 'Happy Ending'........oh yes yes it will.

Default Too Funny

Bacon and Eggs.... Yup, I guess that would be off topic.

I do appreciate your response regarding pertinence of those around me whose prayer concerns we have lifted up. That is an awesome emotionally beneficial reason for participation of all of us through these threads. How can I say more?

I have a working manuscript in process, hoping to bring to others a means to realization of hope though mired in pain. Works of that sort may or may not be or become best sellers [and if published, the reach is the goal far more than statistics], but I reckon if folks can help others with chicken soup or bowls full of cherries I might have the ability to help from the status of experience. Words are pouring out, and not as a rehash or quick photocopy and print of what we have said here. This is too precious. I have to present a message differently..... so, we'll see what comes. But, thank you for the encouragement. Thank you SO much!!

Now, as to the title of this thread, I did begin it as ANS EON because that is exactly what we had discussed with the doc before I appeared at the out-patient surgery center. Then,,,,, surprise! a Boston Scientific rep was there to ask whether I had any questions, and as you have read, I had many. Even so, the Trial was an out of the ballpark success.... SO, I have tried to see whether it is possible to rename the thread, an impossibility as I can see it, since I do not want to mis-lead anyone.

I have truly striven to clarify for anyone dialing in to the dialogue since I experienced the change-up that we are now Boston Bionic Man and not that other company. Oh well, I think we would lose something if I started a new Boston Sci thread at this point.

GOSH I wish the surgery scheduler would call...... I have bothered them and don't want to annoy, but I hate this "give a child a sucker, and take it back once they lick" approach. I TRULY HATE THIS! Morphine already in play. Losing steam.... gotta go. I hope there are no typos......

Hopeful,
Mark56
