Hi everyone! The play was so-so. It was a musical comedy about Lutheran church ladies in the 1960s. There were several funny lines, and one of the actresses had a terric voice. I did not get home until 10:30 and then had to get up at 6:30, which was a bit difficult! I am getting so old. I just can go out on school nights.

Today is beautiful -- 60 and sunny. but we are in a flash flood warning for tomorrow. We are supposed to get 3 to four inches of rain. Hmmm -- maybe I need to take a mental health day tomorow. We have Friday off (midterm break) which means that many students will cut class tomorrow.

Debbie, I have found the Salonspa patches to work a little when my knees are really aching.

more at Walgreens. Its worth a shot. feel better soon.

I had good news at the pcp...my blood pressure is down to a borderline
high reading(much better than it was) and I lost a total of 32 pounds.

So...no meds yet, she is going to check me again in a couple of months.

Morning all! So sorry to hear of so many of you in pain. Try those patches. Jim uses something similar but can't remember the name.

Nothing planned for the day except laundry. Yippee! Weather is sunny and cool, 50 degrees. We'll take it. The wind was so strong last night stuff was flying everywhere. If it was Oct. 31st it would have fit right in the way it howled. lol

hi all ... still have difficulty with my nights - but, I'm sleeping longer ... was up at 415a ...until 530ish ... then tried to sleep a bit more ...

sunny here and 'suppose' to get to 60 .. need to clean out my car!! road trip tomorrow to check out the color and half of a 6-shop hop with a friend ... the other half will take me all the way up by Sarah on Saturday!! so if I get ahold of that busy little bee, we can meet with her or stop at Mc'y D's in Escanaba!!

so if anyone sees or hears from her before Saturday - shoot me a shout out ...

Sorry about the sore, stiff neck. I used to get that a lot when I was younger. It doesn't happen as much anymore. For me, I think I would sort of wrench it when turning around while driving to either back out, or break up an argument in the back seat when our boys went through that stage.

The salonpas sounds like a good idea. I hope you can get some and it will help. Call the doctors too and maybe they can suggest something as well. Feel better soon!

Hi all,
Took the inlaws to our pcp...she gave me a script for a steroid dose pack. I bought those patches and applied them as soon as I got home. They took the throbbing pain away, even though I didn't get more movement.
My dear, dear DH stopped and picked up some Chinese on the way home, and cleaned the very messy kitchen...boy, I am clearly the luckiest woman on earth!
Thanks for the advice about the patches!

I have to admit I wouldn't be here but the phone woke me up. Why don't people listen when I tell them I sleep late? Maybe they're jealous!

Debbie, I am glad that the patches are working a bit with the pain. It seems like you have been on steroids alot. Make sure you are taking calcium and vitamin D as steriods can really cause serious loss of bone density.

Wiz -- How did the test go?

Kelly, I think some of those pounds made their way to Illinois also.

Tricia, I hope that the Faulkner project is going well. Many of my students do not start researching their topics until the week the paper is due.

Sandy, Are you geting alot of rain? It has been raining down here since about 4:00 a.m. Heaviest is supposed to be later. We are under a flash flood warning until tomorrow.
