"The oral drugs scare me; many are immunosuppressants, which lowers your guard against diseases. So I'm not sure I'll partake if/when they are approved for market."

Aren't all of the CRAB's immune suppresants too?

It is a beautiful day down here too.

howdy folks ... trying to wrap my head around all these new issues ... just talked with the neuro's office .. no more Tylonel PM to help me sleep .. not even a script ... but, the Melatonin is okay ...

and - having another blood panel regarding the liver on Friday ...

in the meantime :: working on the website thru VistaPrint.com ... a friend of mine uses it ... and the first month is free ...

have to take pix of the things I'm submitting to the Something Special from Wisconsin holiday promotion .. 3 table runners, 3 doilies, 3 Christmas stockings .. then run them down to Madison tomorrow ...

and ... take pix of about 10 quilts to add to the website ... and pillowcases, towels, etc ...

have a great day ... hopefully some of that sun will shine thru the clouds here shortly!!

Hey vonn, you should ask them if you could take benedryl to sleep. It
is the same ingredient as in tylenol pm minus the tylenol. The benedryl
part is the part that helps you sleep anyway. Its worth asking and its
overthe counter and cheap!

Vonn - Maybe the dr can give you something else to help you sleep. Tylenol can cause liver damage. DBF was not only taking Tylenol PM to sleep but also have a beer or 2 at night. Double whammy. I finally convinced him, with documentation, this was a terrible idea. The dr ended up giving him Ambien to help him sleep. Hang in there!

I've been fighting off something the last 3 days. I ran fever 101 yesterday and boy it was not fun. At first I thought flu, but now I'm not sure. I'm fatigued today, but no fever. I pre-medicate for the Betaseron shot, so I don't think it was that.

Vonn I was having trouble sleeping too. Tried Melatonin...not for me. But I found a Bedtime tea by Yogi. It doesn't make me drowsy, but I sleep a good 7 hours now without waking up. I also noticed I dream more and I remember them more often...which they say is a good sign of restful sleep. Of course because of the herbs, check with your doctor to make sure they are safe for you.

Sox I hope you feel better soon! Wow 40 lbs...that's about the number I need to drop. For me it's lack of movement. I've cleaned up my diet, I just don't have the energy for sustained workouts.

Sandy, I'm laughing about your cat. Our girl will sit and stare at the back door...no matter which side of it she is on. She had teeth removed on one side of her mouth. Due to tissue shrinkage, she now has a crooked little "Elvis" looking smirk on her face!

TKrk, hugs and prayers for you and your dad. keep us updated.

Fin, I hope you got good eye news.

Deb what a scary time you are having.

Barb, Kelly, Sarah and Wiz

thanks, 2K2C ... I'm not much of a "tea" .. but now that I think of it ... I've lost my taste anyways ... I just checked and no tea .. but, I have some hot "dark" chocolate by Swiss Miss (got it for $1 at WM) ... and I have some marshmallows ...

I'll try that tonight ... need a good sleep for tomorrow ... and then to take my final and run over to Madison .. or go to Madison, first - then come back and take the exam ...

thinking of you all - and read your posts .. hugs all around and a word of encouragement to all who want or need one or two!!

Barb, I don't know about the other meds...Copaxone isn't, is it? The Dr. discussed how, when women are pregnant, the placenta produces interferons, which they think reduces the MS stuff in [regnant patients...that's why the interferons work so well, I presume...I just know I'm scared of having something worse than these sxs attack my body...I'm so sad about those with MS who have to weigh the risk/benefits of the meds. This disease definitely is in the suck column

The urogyne visit went well, I guess...saw the inside of my bladder...what fun. Uncomfortable, but at least it's over. He didn't remark about my colorul eye...but he did pat my foot a couple of times. Very compassionate soul...and very busy. My DIL was so nice to drive me, since I was sleeping part of the morning away again...what the heck is going on with this body I feel as if I am in a fog, not being able to connect to living my life. It's odd, because the spasms, foot drag, neuropathic pain, etc are dissipated. Just this darn fatigue.
Well, I have the TV to myself tonight...DH is off doing business. So my furbaby and I are enjoying the evening...
and I hope all of you are, too...

Debbie, I know the interferons can play merry hob with the immune system. Have to keep an extra eye out for possible infections developing. Not sure if the copax had the same issues.

Vonn, congrats on getting all that stuff done. Take care of yourself. I can handle the hot bedtime drinks when it gets colder out. I make hot cocoa with milk. Helps knock me out.

Pam, feel better soon.

Everyone,

~~~~~~~~
Went out yesterday to enjoy the beautiful day. Wanted to take a small walk on the nature trails of a nearby park. The goal was to go look at one of the Adena mounds they had there. I love reading about the mound builders. Hubby jokes about me looking at piles of dirt, but still think it's pretty cool.
Anyhoo, Got a chance to see the mound and went back to the nature trail. That's when I did something really stupid and I ignored the little feeling in the back of my head that told me to go back the way I had come.
(Hubby told me the girl scouts are gonna come and strip me of some of my outdoorsy badges, LOL!)
Needless to say. No, their trails are not well marked. The maps they do have are definitely not to scale. And what would've been a 30 minute round trip hike turned into 1 and 1/2 hours. So a wee bit sore this morning.
So want to smack myself in the head for being an idiot, but proud that I actually managed to keep going. I know how my legs feel about the whole thing this morning.
Hope everyone has a good day.
