Doing a quick check in. I'm feeling better. Had some interesting abdomen pain for a few days. I had forgot about being told I had very mild diverticulitis in 2003. It has never bothered me until now... ouch is all I'll say about that. I go see my doc next week and will get things checked out again.

Hugs to all. I gotta lot of catch up reading to do!

Morning all! Heading out to get Jim some Botox today. He'll also see the spinal cord doctor. I am not happy about going to the hospital. I want to soak myself in sanitizer. lol

Have a good day everyone!

Be careful, Sandy! Wear a surgical mask!

Are you like me and hold your breath to walk past people who appear sick? I do.....I've done it for years. Especially if they sneeze or cough. I just take a deep breath and hold it as I walk by. It gets interesting if something slows me up.

I'm going with DS today to see his new apartment. He has the walk-thru/pre-inspection today. I'm excited to see it. It's in a "ritzy" section of midtown (Atlanta). They're on the third floor of a hi-rise building. I don't foresee myself going to visit very often. You have to drive on the Interstate in order to get there and I just don't do that.

Well, it's gonna be a rainy, stormy day here today. I can already feel it in my bones!

Ya'll have a great day!

Good morning everyone!

No big plans for me today. I have a couple of errands to run this morning and then will be working on a painting. DD18 called me last night as she needs a book, "Death of a Salesman," and they don't have it at the school's bookstore. I'm going to see if they have it at one of the used bookstores in town (calling them 1st).

I hope you all have a great day! It's too early in the a.m. to be thinking too much to respond to everyone's posts.

Sandy, don't blame you about the sanitizer thing. I was waiting in line at a fast food joint last week. All the kids in line were sneezing and sniffling, so did not want to touch anything.

Weave, thanks for the reminder. I need to get some mulch out too. I think this may be the last warm week for a while here. (ducks and hides)

Pam, sorry to hear about the pain.

Trish, wow - I haven't read that book in forever. Hope you can find a copy. (My favorite had to read for school book - To kill a mockingbird. Still got it too, with all the notes in the margin. )

Everyone,

Hello all...another cloudy day here...what a weird year of weather...

Sandy, hope you wear gloves there...I was teaching my inlaws how to push the elevator button with their knuckles and use a fist bump for the handicapped button for the doors at their facility...we don't want them getting sick. That would be a nightmare...

Do you put mulch around trees, too? Or just the veggie garden?

Kelly, hope your DS's inspection goes well...

I cleaned the bedrooms upstairs today, and will tackle the downstairs tomorrow or Thursday. DD and her DH are coming down from Cheeseheadland on Thurs for her birthday...my baby's going to be 25...where did the time go?

DH is going with me to the urogyne consult to hear what he recommends...ugh.

Well, hope all of you are well, and that you all have a great afternoon!

It is another rainy, gloomy day down here too! I had 10 students missing in a class of 26 today. I know that three of them have the flu. I hope that the rest were just skipping class and staying in bed. I can't believe I just said that!

I met with a retirement counselor today. I think I will be okay. I am going to see if I can afford to buy three years of teaching that I have from another public university. They are going to send me the paperwork with an estimate as to how much it would cost and what type of difference it would make. If I do this, it will most likely take me the next 2 1/2 years to pay for the three years. I just hope I can make it until May 2012.

Jenn -- I loved To Kill a Mockingbird. I think I read it when I was in 9th grade. I have put it on my list of books that I am going to read again when I retire.

I LOVE bargains!!! I got the book for DD18 for FREE plus $2.00 in credit! Well not exactly free. I brought a book in for trade and got $8.00 in trade and Death of a Salesman was only $6.00.

Jenn & Barb - I love that book too! And the movie. When DDs were little and not up to that reading level, I rented the movie for them. They liked it and then loved the book when they read it in school.

Barb - You confused me. Oh wait, that's not hard to do. LOL Why do you have to buy teaching years? I hope you feel better after meeting with the retirement counselor.

Hey guys. Spent all day at the VA hospital and Jim may be sick. We'll know more when all the test come in, should be by Friday. So far all test point to nothing which is good. Please pray he gets better so he doesn't have to go in the hospital. It's a bladder issue again.
