I didn't do anything today but pick up meds for my little Honey Jane at the vet. I brushed my teeth and threw on some sweats and a tee and out the door I went. Got home and napped for a while.

I wonder why stress does not make my MS worse. It's something I have thought about a lot. Maybe, it's because I have had MS for so long, I just don't know why I don't just fold sometimes.

My Neuro nearly flipped when I had my appt. in July and I told her my Mom died and I cried through the whole visit. Then I told her about the skin cancer and the Mohs surgery. She was so worried about me because I did not accept Home Care to get some help with my wound care. My leg was numb from the knee down for about a month and I didn't even realize it.

I was wondering if I should start a thread about skin cancer and how bad it can be. I have pictures of my wound, I just don't want to gross everyone out. I could put the pictures in a folder in my profile if anyone has a cast iron stomach and wants to see it. It's not just melanoma that can kill you.

I have an appointment tomorrow with the surgeon for a wound check.

TGIF Getting ready for class. This was only a four day week, but I am so ready for the weekend. I starting to think seriously about retirement. I am eligible to retire in May
2012. I will be 55. The pension would not be great, but ... They are probably going to be increasing our teaching load starting next Fall (one additional course each semester), and I do not not know how I will hande it.

Hope you all have a good weekend!

(((Becky))) Good luck today at the dr. Let us know how it goes.

Barb - TGIF! Is right. Hope you get to relax some this weekend and enjoy.

TKTC - Oh I got it; it's a new car. We have to do that here too.

DebbieD - Sometimes the silent bond between siblings is strong regardless of any situation. Since DDs were wee little ones I stressed the importance of their relationship. During their teen years they kind of drifted a bit from each other - different friends, likes, dislikes, etc. Now they are becoming really close and I think it is awesome.

Oh carp! I just saw the weather on TV it is 7:15 in the morning, 80 degrees out and is supposed to be in the 100s. While this is normal, my a/c went out sometime yesterday. Around 12:00 yesterday my apt seemed warm but not too bad. I went out for a while and once I stepped back in my apt. I knew it was the a/c. There was nothing that I could do. I started getting my things together to go to DBF's and ended up with blurred vision, muscle weakness, tremors acting up, and urinary incontinence. UGH! I had to have DD19 get a ride to my house so that she could take me to DBFs. Once the a/c got going in the car and I started to cool off more, I started to feel somewhat better.

Anyhow, hope you all have a great day!

I had to cancel my follow up appt with my doctor and reschedule for next Friday.

I am having major back spasms and was up most of the night on the heating pad. I spilled an entire glass of Dr. Pepper on my end table, recliner and the floor night before last. It was not easy cleaning it up from my light colored carpet. I also was in such a weird position not being able to get my left knee to the floor. I'm paying for it now but I cleaned up the stain. I knew it would mess up my back but not this bad. I'm miserable!

You all have a great day. I'm going to take pain pills and switch from my recliner to my bed.

Morning all! The bees are almost gone! They are still hovering but not too many now. The guy told me to flip the mulch in a couple of days to get it done in the nest. Sheesh, he swears I'll be OK but I am skeered! I don't think I'll get my garden weeded but that's OK, it's almost time to take it down anyway.

Wiz, do you want four large cediums (sp?)? The bee guy said they attract bees so I am getting rid of them.

I am making my corn beef and guacamole dips today for tomorrow's get together. I'm also making a lime jello and chicken wings. Our friend Jim is coming early to help me set up. It will be a great day.

Becky I am so sorry your back is now hurting. Hope it gets better.

Trish Glad your getting out of the house with no air. That is dangerous.

Barb, I hope the added classes wont be too much of a hardship on you.

Everyone have a great day and to all in need.

Hi all! Another perfectly wonderful day here...I think it's the 10th day in a row of the summer weather we'd missed the last few months.Sandy, hope those little buggers leave you soon...are one of your DSs able to come over and move the mulch for you this weekend?T, sorry about the a/c conking out on you...you were very wise to get out of there.Barb, I'm sure retirement can't come soon enough! Take it easy this weekend!Becky, so sorry to hear about the spasms...take careTook MIL shopping, then got some autumn decorations, and some candles that were 50% off for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I'm pooped just from that! Sheesh! My DS and DIL came over for dinner last night. This girl quit her job as of 10/2...before she's acquired employment elsewhere. DS is taking a calculus class at night school, but his part time job has been cut to a minimum of hours. So guess where they're probably going to move when their lease is up next month? I sure wish I was an eagle and could turn this nest over...

I told DIL it's short-term, and that they'd have to help around the house and yard (I am coming to the conclusion that I just can't do all this anymore-at least not while I'm suffering from these spasms, etc). Maybe it's a blessing in disguise, but I feel like I'm running a bed and breakfast...it's been my choice to let the kids come home, of course.

Well, hope everyone has a happy and pain-free weekend!

Thanks Sandy but Sedums are one of the few I don't like. They look like broccoli until autumn, sort of weird, lol.

Glad you got your computer back Barb!
