Hi Everybody! :)

Brrrr is it cold here!!! :eek: -18 degrees wind chill as I type!

I call and text to check on Tina and no replies yet so I'm assuming no news is good news. Somebody should update me soon though? She prefers texting though so I'm not going to call and risk waking her up. I don't even know if she's left the hospital or not? :confused: She has dozens of friends though and I'm sure they're keeping her occupied with cheering up, etc... When I stayed with her I met just a few and they all offered to help her out as needed when she gets home.

The day of her surgery she texted me back and said she was ok, just a little sore so I'm hoping they're keeping her on pain meds if she needs them. I don't know if they'll start the radiation at the hospital or send her home or what though.

I went for job testing for two jobs this morning and have yet another interview tomorrow.

I'm trying to get the house cleaned so I can put up the Christmas decorations too.

My Copaxone delivery didn't arrive yesterday because of the weather so I have to inspect it today and make sure it hasn't frozen over the past two days. :eek:

Rocky and Daisy are getting along better now but Rocky has some kind of allergy and has to take a pill twice a day. :eek: I have the scars to prove it, lol.

Sandy,

I met Nik yesterday and he's a very nice young man! I opened a CD account at the bank he works for.

Other than all that it's really pretty quiet here. ;)

You all have a wonderful day and stay warm, hugs to everybody... :grouphug:

Wiz, hope all is well with her. Glad she has a good support group. Still praying. :hug::hug:

~~~~~
Casserole baking away in the oven. It's uber cold and windy out today. Getting the double wammy of pain from spasticity and from my fibro. It's been a fun day, but trying to do stuff to lessen the pain.
Other than that, hanging in there. Emotionally better today than yesterday, so that's a definite plus. :)
Take care everyone. :grouphug::grouphug:
well .. I bundled up and found my car .. under about 10+ inches of snow and drifts ... it was so awesome outside ... and because (here comes the song) I was standing and shoveling and digging out .. my thighs are killing me - sing sing sing ... but, worth it ... only hurts when I go to sit down, or to stand back up....
making a new spaghetti sauce ... secret ingredient .. dark cocoa - only a teaspoon .. mmmmm, gooood!
still apartment hunting .. .OR stay put until spring - and buy land and start building the studio and lighthouse .. thoughts?? comments??
Geez Wiz, I won't bother complaining about my 20 degree morning! YIKES -18 wind chills :eek: I lived in Omaha eons ago and anything below 10 with winds is just plain OUCH! Hope you are staying warm and toasty.
Weave :hug: I struggle with keeping my house tidy too. When we bought this house almost 6 years ago, we thought we were buying plenty of square footage... nope no where near enough... especially storage space. Our collection of books is killing us. I can't keep up with keeping everything dusted.
Vonn, Sarah, Trish, Jackie, Fin, Soxmom, Sandy, Holly, Kitty, Debbie :hug: Hope everyone is well and staying warm out there!
I did the old MRI tube slide today. 30 minutes tops and done.
Slipped two times today, but at least I did not fall. Went to doctor's and dx with a sinus infection. On a more positive note, tomorrow is the last day of classes.:D Finals --next week!
Vonn07 12-10-2009 11:04 PM
okay - Barb ... you had run-on sentence there ... or I'm just tired!! I was wondering if you went into get dx'd for slipping ... how did he determine it caused a sinus infection ... :Dunno:
so sorry for both ... maybe it was the meds for the slipping kicking in or for the sinus infection ... oh, I'm so confused :Red eyes: ... no- more like pooped! :Zzzz:
nite!! :thud:
Morning, morning. Hope this new day finds everyone well despite the cold snap some of us have. :hug::hug:
The weird dream monster turned up yesterday. Had a dream that my inner child was really upset with me. So dragged out one of our video games that I haven't played with in awhile. Hoping that keeps her happy, LOL! Wonder what freud would think about this? :D
Take care everyone! :grouphug::grouphug:
Good morning everyone!
Weave - No advice just big :hug:'s for you.
Sandy - Glad you made it home safely. How's your mom doing/adjusting?
Wiz - I am glad to hear Tina has a great support system and is doing well.
Vonn - You are one silly girl! LOL
Barb - Sorry to hear about the sinus infection. I hate those and they always, always mess with the MS. I hope you start feeling better soon.:hug:
TKTC - I am like you, I can't complain about the cold mornings when others on here have -18 degree weather. LOL
Holly - I never knew that! That is a great suggestion.
Hi everyone else! Thinking of you as well.:hug::grouphug:
I have a list of things to do today. First thing is to visit my parents this morning. I am trying to do that more and see if they need any help. My dad starts chemo after the 1st of the year. :( He still hurts quite a bit but is adjusting very well and is doing awesome post-op. The home health nurse comes once a week to check on him.
I have been busy trying to figure out ways to make some money. I have until the end of this month (my goal) to come up with a plan so I can put it in to action in January. I am not looking to become a millionaire, just want to make enough to cover my bills and put a little aside for emergencies. I'll let you all know what I come up with.
Have a great day everyone!
