I am envious of your neuro Debbie. It sounds as if he is really understanding. Maybe I need to move to N IL.

I just called my neuros office as this baclofen taper is pretty tough. I guess it must have been helping my spasticity a bit as it is getting more and more difficult to walk. I am also dealing with nausea, dizziness, and that sandy foot feeling (grabbing hold of things when I am walking plus using my cane). Of course my neuro was not in the office today. So his nurse was going to talk to the neuro on call to see if I can start taking a low dose of zanaflex while tapering off of the baclofen.

I am just going to teach my 10:00 class and then i am going home. Canceled my pt appointment.

On a more positive note, it is beautiful here today.

Hey everyone. I have a friend who is recently diagnosed with ms and is 22 years old. She signed up here and I started a thread for her. Can you help me welcome her here?

Debbie, totally agree. Your neuro sounds like a keeper! :)

Barb, hope they find the right med combo that helps you out.:hug:

Three phone calls later and pulling teeth, I've got an appointment with the NP for tuesday. Whew! The neurology department strongly perfers going over results in person. The guy I got this time around was really nice. He apologized since he's worked there the longest and most don't remember that the NP does most of the follow-ups and any emergency things like flares and such. Knocking on wood she's as good as the one at my old neuro. :)

So ready for a nap now, lol!

Enjoy the weekend everyone!

P.S. Broke the two minute mark on the elliptical. It was only by a couple of seconds, but every little victory counts. :D

Good Morning sleepyheads! Where is everyone? I am having a typical Saturday morning -- doing laundry, went to the drugstore and grocery store. Now I am just planning on reading and watching Memphis Beat which I recorded.
While every step I take is painful, at least I am still walking. I did not hear back from my neuro's office. Calling on a Friday is never a good idea;)

Hope you all are having a good day. It was really nice out at 7:00 this morning, but it is starting to get hot out now.

Jenn -- Congrat's on breaking your record!

Morning all! I had yesterday off and had my nails done, also went to the gym for a 20 minute workout. It seems that's about all I get, 20-30 minutes a few times a week but while I'm there I work really hard on the rowing machine trying to get my heart rate up high enough.

I work the next four days then have two off next week. The fatigue really gets to me about mid day and I can feel myself fading but I stick it out. I try to drink a cold glass of water to wake me up. The Nuvigil is a God send for me. It doesn't require that I keep increasing the dose like Provigil did. It's fabulous! :)

I better hit the shower now and get to work. Have a good weekend dear friends. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Morning! I too am doing laundry and some cleaning. We have a wedding shower to attend tomorrow and that's it for the weekend. Hope everyone is doing well.

Hello everyone! :) It's a beautiful Saturday here in GA. Not too hot and a little bit of cloud cover for shade. Not sure how long it will last but I'll take whatever I've given.

Everyone have a good weekend! :grouphug:

It's getting darker earlier and earlier each day. We go back to Standard Time on 11/7. I can almost feel Fall in the air!! :)

Morning all. Wedding shower today, outside, high 90 degrees. :-( I keep telling Jim he can stay home but so far he says he wants to go.

Everyone stay cool.

Good Morning. I had a decent nights sleep last night.:D I still woke up several times, but actually fell back asleep. I am now doing another load of laundry. I have some checks to write and also need to do some prepping for one of my classes tomorrow. Supposed to be 92 here today, with most of the week in the high 80/low 90s.
