Morning all! Jenn, sorry about your ding too. I am surprised your rates went up too but so did mine after I had a fender bender. The reason was because the van was in an accident with Jim and that was our one get out of jail free card. So when I had mine, our rates went up. Not fair because it had been over 10 years since I had anything too. As a matter of fact, we've had State Farm since we were married and I never had an accident with them.

Nothing planned for the day, laundry and resting. Jim's feeling a little weak so I will be trying to get him to eat a little more today. We met with the Republican house leader yesterday and we think it went well. Jim was amazing, as usual, telling his story. I updated on the Springfield thread.

We are supposed to stay at a hotel Friday for the wedding but I think I am going to cancel so we can come home that night. It really takes a lot out of us to bring the whole house and the dog. Since neither of us are feeling well this week, I think it's best. I am sure my cousin will be disappointed because he wanted us to party after the reception but I am not into it. Oh well.

Hope everyone is doing well and  to those who aren't.

Good Morning. My Fox channels did not work last night so I missed Glee. Thanks Mediacom!:p I guess I can try to watch it on line.

We had some pretty violent storms overnight -- hail and lots of wind, thunder, and lightning. It is only 68 degrees right now, very humid, and very gloomy. I am having trouble keeping my eyes open at my desk. The temps are supposed to go up to 88 today and 94 tomorrow.

Well, I really need to get some work done. Hope you all have a good day!

Good afternoon/evening all...
Sandy, does Jim not eat well because of how the meds affect his stomach, or does he just not have an appetite? Hope he can get some energy back...

Sorry there was no "Glee" in your life last night, Barb...hope you can get it on the web...

Took the in laws to the eye specialist. He discussed corneal transplantation with my FIL again, said there's no harm in seeing a specialist who would evaluate him for surgery. However, in his opinion it might make him lose the small amount of sight he already has in that eye.
Then my MIL got in the chair...she had cataract surgery several years ago; the doc told us that 30-50% of patients form scar tissue around the lens pocket that they make for the replacement lens...and she's one of the people who is affected. she has lost 3 lines of vision on the eye chart in 1 1/2 years. So she has to have laser surgery to get rid of the scarring.
When I got home, I got a call from the doctor that did the urodynamic testing on Monday. They cultured a specimen and of course I have another UTI. They want me to take antibiotics for 7 days and come in (45 mi away) for another lab culture in 9 days...when we'll be closing the cabin in Wis. So I guess I should time taking the a.b. to make sure I'll be home for the retest it won't hurt me if I wait a couple of days before starting them would it?
I seem to get these darn infections every 3 months like clockwork...

Well, DH is at an investment meeting, so I'm batching it tonight...going to make pasta, open some wine and watch a movie...
hope you all have a great evening...:):)

Debbie, we are not sure but it has got worse since starting the Dantrolene. He has ate a smoothie today and I made some jello for him. We're having tuna sandwiches for dinner. It's light eating around here, whatever it takes. Hey, maybe I'll lose weight.

Why are they making you come so far for a UA/Culture? Call and tell them you cannot be there on that day and can you do it locally? Edwards is a good hospital so not sure why they would say no if you asked. Jim does this rather than going all the way to Hines.

Happy Thursday! :)

Nothing spectacular planned for today. If it would cool down just a little I'd clean up around the patio. It's just too stifling for me to be out there for an extended amount of time.

I made hamburger buns yesterday and they turned out really good. I had just a taste of one of them, DS ate three and I froze the rest. I hope they freeze well.....we'll see. They'll make good sandwich rolls, too.

The weather here is supposed to cool off by the end of the weekend. Let's hope it lasts. We're supposed to get some much needed rain, too. I'm so ready for Fall.

Everyone enjoy your day! :grouphug:

Afternoon all...whew it's hot out...I'm indoors for the rest of the day...

Sandy, I actually got the uro's office fax number and will have my pcp order a followup lab test...but not until I get back into town from closing the cabin.

It's supposed to really cool down here...I'll see it when I feel it;)

I finished cleaning the dining room furniture...then I polished it with lemon oil...now it's nice...
I still need to clean the tile floors and bathrooms before the weekend, but I'm trying not to bite off more than I can chew...so I am taking it a bit easy the rest of the afternoon. We're going to the inlaws this evening to pay some of their bills, fill their med trays, and play cards again. So I'll need the rest before then...

Well, I hope you all have a great Thursday evening...

Hi everyone! 94 degrees down here! we are supposed to have some storms tonight and tomorrow, and then it is supposed to start cooling down. I have book club tonight. I don't really want to go (pain from spasticity is really annoying me today), but I am forcing myself to go. Tomorrow is Friday!!!!:D

Hey all! Jim has his GI appointment for the 1st. Can someone tell me when they started requiring fasting for upper GI's? It's at 10am. I hope it comes out ok. I asked the doctors office if they wanted to see Jim after the test and they said no, they want to wait and see what the results are. That sent me on a ranting because that makes no sense to me to not want to see him. The guy is just about bones. Then I calmed down and realized the results will determine if he sees the GI or Primary.

I tell you, I am worried because his doctor left and now Jim has to see a NP instead of the regular doctor. Makes me a wreck I tell ya! We may start seeing civilian doctors if I even suspect Jim's quality of care has gone down. $10 says I have to call for the results.

Ok, I feel better now. How's everyone doing? We have that wedding tomorrow, weird on a Friday, but it is what it is.

 to all.

Good morning everyone!

I'm back home from my travels. It is fun to go away but always nice to come home. Today I'll be doing my laundry and then heading over to my parents for lunch. One of my sisters and my niece and grand nephew will be there. I'm excited to see the little guy. Hard to believe he is 2 months old already. Time flies.

Hope you all have a great day!:grouphug:
