Thumbs Down Breathing?

Hi it's me again,

As far as my breathing problems go, it's due to spasticity, won't allow my diaphragm to fully expand. I never had a flair, don't know what that would be like!! I'm Chronic Progressive. Just a steady decline for me.

Oh well!!! That's life I guess but it's really starting to grate on my nerves, this thing they call living!!!

good morning everyone,

cool both start with an S now if I can just get the right screen name with the right S

good morning Sharon and Sarah, Sandy and Jim, TK and Fin, Cayo and Barb,

Renee and Vonn, if I missed anyone my apologies, I am still getting all the names down and some days will be hello all meaning my brain is missing, probably in the same place i set down ink pens, there are a lot of ink pens in this house, some where

hope the morning finds everyone well

as for nerves being pushed I can relate for over 7 yrs it drove my self and my wife nuts and at the end before being Dx I even started second guessing myself and thinking maybe the docs were right time to see a shrink that it was in all in my head, don't think they meant this way though

guess I was lucky though the thoughts of MS never occurred to me, it was always same 5 sx tightness vision slurred speech balance muscle pain, they would charge me countless amounts of money to rule out heart lungs this that back I can say, i got a healthy liver i use to drink like a fish.
lungs are ok, spleen, gallbladder, heart is so so, something about not putting butter on my butter

the time i got DX i had this severe headache like I have had for this past two weeks, which is actually turning into a marker for me a spinal lesion marker this is the second or third with a severe headache i got to rethink that fact with doc because i cant recall , but the two are definitely connected and he agreed the spinal ones can trigger headaches yet for two yrs I have been asking him this and he says no yet I keep getting two week migraines and I don't get head aces, ever

so hope everyones day is like ours was yesterday nice and pleasant and spend time with friends and family and enjoy one another

mornin' Frankie-me-boyo!

how's things up in your neck of the woods?

exciting news last evening... I spotted a bunch of gibnuts by my pond...

they look sorta like GIANT chipmunks or squirrels:

Each evening, I like to sit quietly beside my pond, feeding the ducks and meditating on the meaning of life.

After I hand out the corn and cabbage, weather permitting, I like to stick around for awhile, and watch the ducks mate, make nests, and go swimming.

Today, I saw little fishies making ripples, and a few frogs hopping around (the fast ones, that've escaped the ducks), and then... out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a small brown mammal approaching.

I *froze* in position, as the gibnut (also known as an agouti, or paca) ambled past the pond, coming within a few feet of me... it was my closest look yet at the female of the pair I've spotted a few times around our land.

Then, I realized... there was another, and another, and ANOTHER, coming out of the brush!

At first, I thought, it was a momma with a litter of three... but then I remembered, they only have ONE baby, maybe two at a time...

An adult paca weighs between 6 and 12 kg. (13 to 26 pounds) It has two litters per year, each having usually one young, sometimes two; gestation lasts 115–120 days.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paca

So, what I saw must have been TWO family groups, as there were DEFINITELY *three* small ones!

so, when I feed my ducks at 5 pm today, I'm going to be READY, with the camera, on a tripod... wish me LUCK, kiddies !!

yeah, I think I know what you mean.

I try to make the best of it, and keep on keepin' on.

I'm Secondary Progressive, and have had MS for 20 years now (first symptoms on Valentine's Day in 1988)

but on days when all my sx crop up at once (double vision, leg cramps, vertigo, balance probs, bladder issues, etc.) it can be hideous.

then, there's the residual stuff from 20 years of flares... I'm numb from stem to sternum, nose to toes, legs buckle, blind on the right, etc. etc.

and so darn tired and fatigued! at this point, I use a cane, and two ankle braces.

I try to plan my days very carefully, 20 minutes of work, then a nap, or rest...

if I have to run errands, the next two or three days I can't do squat.

yeah, it grates on my nerves... but I just go sit by the pond, and absorb the peace and quiet, and it heals my soul.

I had the "chest thing" once, back in 92 or 93... I remember it well... (ARGGGHHH !!)

glad you could join us, and... (wait a sec! didn't I already WELCOME you? DARN this brain fog stuff, lol!)

Hey all, quick update. I spoke with Renee last night. She is exhausted but her Mom is flying out today to help out. That will be a blessing for her and the family. I know how how difficult it is to have your hubby in the hospital and little ones at home. It's like having your body stretched in all directions. It can be an emotional roller coaster for sure.

Hubby was allowed to have ice chips yesterday. He's on a no food diet for now due to the pancreas inflammation. His enzymes were still up as of yesterday. If they are still up after today or tomorrow, they may order antibiotics for him.

Please continue to pray for Renee's hubby that he will improve and be able to come home soon.
